The Catholic Church will be celebrating the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi on October 4th, commemorating the life of St. Francis, the Patron Saint of Animals. Coinciding with this day, Mrs. Luisi’s and Mrs. Langeveld’s 8th grade Confirmation Class will be completing a community service project to collect items for the Monmouth County SPCA. Items can include toys, food, gently used towels and blankets and cleaning supplies. A bin will be placed in the foyer of the church for collection of items. Monsignor Flynn will be blessing the animals in front of the Church on Sunday, October 3rd at 2:00 p.m. Students will be collecting items at that time as well. CYO News! As you can see, our CYO school year got off to a great start. 33 of our CYO angels arrived. Count it-all joy! We were lucky enough to see Monsignor Sean as he was arriving home from his birthday dinner, and he was kind enough to give us his blessing on the Church lawn. We also got to sing him the happy birthday song! It was a joyful way to get the CYO year going! It’s never too late to join CYO. If you have been away for a while, we LOVE it when you come back!!!!!
