St. Jane Frances de Chantal School opened with 368 K-8 students on August 30, 2021. On Sep- tember 7, 2021, we welcome 19 preschoolers! We are so excited to be back in action. We missed our stu- dents dearly over the summer, but by the looks of things, our families enjoyed much travel and fun in the sun -- Hawaii, Disney, Myrtle Beach, the Caribbean, lakes, beaches, mountains, camping, and many more fun and exciting places were visited during our summer break. Our main goal this year is to keep our students and teachers safe, to keep our school open for in-person learning and keep our students in school! Last year, we are very proud to announce that because we were so compliant with our COVID protocols, we were in school ALL 180 days without any spread of COVID among students and staff. Our students and teachers practiced correct masking, social distancing, cleaning and hand hygiene. Also, thanks to our amazing families, students stayed home when sick and recuperated at home before returning to school. We cannot thank our families enough. It made all the difference. We contin- ue to pray for the end of the pandemic and a return to normalcy, but we certainly made the best of the situa- tion. Ask any Janer! They will tell you! We are planning to continue our streak of “no spread COVID” again this year. Our students will continue to mask while indoors and will continue to practice social distancing, cleaning, and hand hygiene. We are confi- dent that if we all continue to work together, our students, teachers, volunteers and families will all stay safe. We all need to do our part in the mitigation of COVID. Thank you again for everyone’s support of our school and my leadership. It’s been a very unusual time, but I am really looking forward to the upcoming school year.
