PROGRAM REGISTRATION & POLICIES 4 WAYS TO REGISTER • QR code Registration will open August 31 at 8 a.m. for all activities unless otherwise noted. • Online via Waukee.org/Registration. • With a printable registration form found at Waukee.org/PrintForm. • In-person or via mail at the Waukee Parks & Recreation Department, 805 University Avenue, Waukee, IA 50263. What is your cancelation policy? Programs, activities, special events and festivals which are canceled, postponed or changed in location will be announced as soon as possible. Please check Facebook or Waukee.org for updates. Waukee Parks & Recreation reserves the right to cancel a program or an activity that does not meet the minimum number of participants necessary to offer the program. What is your program refund policy? Programs/Classes/Camps: A $5 non-refundable processing fee will be deducted from the refund when an enrollee withdraws from a program at least one week prior to the first day of the program. Within one week of the program start date, a refund will not be issued. Leagues: A $5 non-refundable processing fee will be deducted from the refund when an enrollee withdraws prior to rosters being made. After rosters are formed, no refund will be issued. Trips: Cancelations for trips must be made at least three weeks prior to the trip date to receive a full refund less a $5 non-refundable processing fee. No refund will be issued for cancellations within 3 weeks of the trip. What is your facility rental refund policy? To receive a refund, reservations must be cancelled at least 10 business days prior to the date of reservation. A $10 non-refundable processing fee will be deducted from the refund. No refund will be issued for cancelations made within 10 business days of the start of the reservation. What is your photo/video policy? Photos and videos may be taken of participants and guests at programs, activities, leagues, trips, special events and festivals. These photos and videos may be used in promotional materials, press releases and kits, magazine articles, newsletters, Waukee.org and any City social media channels. Heart of the Warrior Trailhead Enhancement 205 Ashworth Dr. A new amenity adds a great rest spot and access point to the Heart of the Warrior Trail. The new space along Ashworth Drive includes a few parking spots for trail users. You can take a break from the summer sun under a new shade structure while enjoying the beauty of a butterfly garden donated by the Waukee Rotary Club. OUTDOOR AMENITIES Trailside Dog Park & Trailhead 590 SE Brick Drive Trailside Dog Park spans four acres just east of Alice’s Road, directly south of the popular Heart of the Warrior Trail. The park includes public restrooms, 21 parking stalls, separated areas for large and small dogs, a drinking fountain, dog waste stations, a shade structure, concrete walking paths and open greenspace. Before purchasing a pass to Trailside Dog Park, Waukee residents must license their dogs with the City at PetData.com. Dog passes come with an entry code to access the park. Pass fees go toward maintenance of the park. Donated by the Iowa Wild and Wells Fargo, the 80 x 40 feet rink is open to the public with designated hours for free skating and hockey.
