Special Events And Trips CHILDREN’S WEEK IN APPLETON! JULY 24 – 30, 2022 Mark your calendar for July 24 – 30 as we celebrate the children of Appleton with our annual U.S.Venture Children’s Week. Children’s Week provides seven fun-filled days for children and their families to make lasting memories while engaging in free or reduced-cost recreational activities throughout the City of Appleton. Youth Programs ® KIDSTAGE® KidStage participants will work on developing self-confidence and building stage presence through a variety of acting exercises and drama activities with the goal of getting each KidStage® kid to be loud and proud in a KidStage® Showcase. At the end of each session a showcase is held for families to come and watch. SPRING SESSION SHOW- Wizard of Oz SHOWCASE at St. Mary Catholic High School June 11-12 (Times TBD after week 2). After a tornado whisks her away to the magical land of Oz, young Dorothy Gale teams up with a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman, and a Cowardly Lion to find the mighty Wizard of Oz, who can send her home. Dorothy eventually learns just how magical friendship can be and how wonderful it can feel to go home again. CAMP KIDSTAGE WEEK LONG SUMMER CAMP – Jungle Book Join Kidstage for a week-long camp two hours per day where all KidStage Kids will be involved in acting exercises, theatre games, and will be cast in the production of Jungle Book performed at the end of the week during the last hour of camp for parents and friends!
