Appleton with our annual U.S.Venture Children’s Week. Children’s Week
provides seven fun-filled days for children and their families to make lasting
memories while engaging in free or reduced-cost recreational activities

YOUTH BABYSITTING/CPR CLASS
This action packed course is open to youth ages 10-15. Students will learn the
fundamentals of childcare (feeding/diapering/etc.), child safety (choking
emergencies/home hazards/etc.), and also learn CPR/AED for Adult, Child, and
Infant. This is a great class to build confidence as they enter the exciting world
of babysitting or if they are starting to stay home alone for the first time. The
class is taught by using an assortment of relevant videos, lectures, hands on
skill sessions, and games.

Do you want your child to have the confidence to bike to the park or to the store? How about
having the training to ride their bike safely and correctly? As an Urban Rider they’ll learn bike
handling skills, rules of the road, and how to have fun getting wherever they want to go! For

The Bike Rodeo will help your child learn, at their level, the basic skills needed to bike more
safely on the road. Stations will include looking back without swerving, breaking techniques, riding

take place at the completion of each bike rodeo for those looking to register for Urban Riders.

KIDSTAGE®
KidStage participants will work on developing self-confidence and building stage
presence through a variety of acting exercises and drama activities with the goal of
getting each KidStage® kid to be loud and proud in a KidStage® Showcase. At the end
of each session a showcase is held for families to come and watch.
SPRING SESSION SHOW- Wizard of Oz
SHOWCASE at St. Mary Catholic High School June 11-12 (Times TBD after week
2). After a tornado whisks her away to the magical land of Oz, young Dorothy Gale
teams up with a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman, and a Cowardly Lion to find the
mighty Wizard of Oz, who can send her home. Dorothy eventually learns just how magical friendship can be and how
wonderful it can feel to go home again.
CAMP KIDSTAGE WEEK LONG SUMMER CAMP – Jungle Book
Join Kidstage for a week-long camp two hours per day where all KidStage Kids will be involved in acting exercises,
theatre games, and will be cast in the production of Jungle Book performed at the end of the week during the last
hour of camp for parents and friends!

JUNIOR GOLF LEAGUE
Junior Golf League is recommended for ages 11-17 and provides participants an opportunity to
challenge themselves and develop their game in a friendly competitive format. Each week, golfers will
play 9 holes with guidance from an experienced instructor; however, this league is designed for
individuals with a developed skill set and experience playing 9 holes. In 2022, league participants will
play for weekly/yearly prizes much like the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup. Pre-registration is REQUIRED
and will take place at Reid Golf Course; go to www.reidgolfcourse.org for more details and
to register. (*Season pass holders of Reid G.C. do not need to pay the daily greens fee but will need to
pay the league registration fee.)

volunteer coaches. Coaching is a rewarding way to positively impact the

already have what it takes to be a great coach!

MINDFULNESS MYSTERIES: Parent & Child Retreat with Christy Sprotte
Calling all Super Sleuths! Join Christy Sprotte, Christy Sprotte, Ed.S., NCSP, for a 2-hour retreat with your adolescent to build
emotional resilience in the face of a pandemic. Through the theme of “Decoding the Mystery of the Mind,” you will spend
time with your child cultivating connection, practicing basic mindfulness skills, growing your gratitude muscles, and solving a
series of puzzles and riddles together. The workshop will conclude with a youth yoga session while parents participate in an
adults-only discussion on the topic of mindful parenting. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or beach
towel (yoga mats can be provided upon request). No prior meditation or yoga experience required; please come as is.
