2021 Park Pride This year’s 35th annual Park Pride parks beautification event will again be designed so it can still involve the community and make it safe for everyone wanting to participate. Volunteers can still help beautify parks by cleaning up the park and planting flowers. We will arrange to have flowers available to pick up or dropped off at select neighborhood parks for residents to plant on a day and time convenient for them. Flowers will be on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1 with limited gardening tools available. We’ll need help at the following parks: Cedar Park, Heritage Park, Homewood Estates Park, Indian Trails Park, Irwin Park, Orchard Park, Patriots Park, Pinewood Park, Rovers Run Dog Park, Scandia Park, Woodborough Park, Ballantrae Park, Flossmoor Park, Highlands Park and Pheasant Trails Park. For more information or for scheduling a day to help out at a park, please email Doug Boehm at dboehm@hfparks.com. Thank you for helping us get our parks ready for summer and continuing this event’s long tradition! 4 I HFPD I CHOICES - MAY 2021 ALL CLASSES WILL ADHERE TO LOCAL, STATE AND CDC GUIDELINES.
