Dear Islip Town Residents, The Islip Town Board and I are very pleased to present the 2020-2021 Winter/Spring issue of the Recreation News. We hope you will take advantage of the activities and educational opportunities available as we head into winter, and look ahead to spring. After School Programs are available at the Brentwood, Bohemia, Central Islip and Ronkonkoma Recreation Centers, and at the Cherry Ave. Elementary School in Sayville. Pre-School Programs are being offered at the Cape Cod Learning Center in East Islip and at the Bohemia, Greenbelt, Ronkonkoma and West Islip Recreation Centers. Please call (631)224-5406 for more information. While COVID-19 has interrupted some of our scheduled programs and recreational activities, there remains beautiful parks and beaches to enjoy throughout the Town of Islip, for an exhilarating jog or walk any time of day. We must continue to be vigilant in our fight against COVID-19 as we head into the winter months. Please limit personal contact to your immediate family only, continue to wear a face covering, practice good hand hygiene, and remember to maintain social distancing. If you haven’t already done so, please get a Flu shot and remember to ventilate your surroundings by opening windows whenever possible. Town of Islip E-Alerts are the fastest way to receive important announcements and information as soon as it becomes available. Sign up by going to our website at www.islipny.gov Please do not hesitate to call us should you have any questions about our programs and parks. The Parks Department can be reached at (631)224-5411 and will be happy to assist you. Stay healthy…be safe! Warmest Regards, Angie Carpenter, Supervisor
