CH NGE NAVIGATING SUCCESSFULLY MISA BC 2018 FALL CONFERENCE Kelowna, BC September 10-13, 2018 S p o n s o r s h i p C a t a l o g u e MUNICIPAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS ASSOCIATION
Introduction From September 10th through 13th, MISA BC will host our annual Fall Conference at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort, in downtown Kelowna. Once again, we hope to welcome more than four hundred delegates to our event, where we will provide unparalleled access to senior local government decision makers using a balanced format of speaking opportunities, Trade Show and networking events. With the theme, “Successfully Navigating Change”, this year’s event will see MISA BC adopting and navigating a new conference model where our annual event will include Chairs hosting in three alternating major centres; Kelowna, Whistler, and Victoria. It appears that we are the victim of our own collaborative success, and with more than 460 registrants in Victoria in 2017, we recognize that moving forward, we are too large for many municipalities to accommodate. We will instead congregate in these three well known destinations, large enough to host our very successful fall event. For those of you who joined us in 2014 in Kelowna, change also abounds at the refurbished Delta, and in the downtown core, where we look forward to showcasing new venues and event partners this time around. The largest city in the Okanagan Valley, Kelowna offers a metropolitan experience in a smaller urban setting with easy access by air and land. Kelowna International Airport is supported by 60+ daily non-stop flights from across Canada, the U.S. and Mexico including one hour flights from Calgary, Vancouver, and Victoria and there is a free shuttle service from the airport to the Delta, a 15 minute ride. Driving is direct too, traveling Highway 97 or Highway 33 —four hours from Vancouver by car. The lakefront Delta, is the region’s premier resort, with recently refreshed accommodations, many of which feature picturesque views of Okanagan Lake. Delegates will partake in their new dining experience, the OAK+CRU Social Kitchen & Wine Bar, a regionally-inspired restaurant, along with over 35,000 square feet of flexible venue space, high-speed Wi-Fi internet, a Grand Ballroom which will house the Trade Show, and modern conference room facilities, including full audiovisual services. Join us and celebrate change in 2018! See you this September in kelowna! misa.bc.ca/conference/
