Emotions, Adornments, Movements Mesmerizing Buddhist images have been passed down since ancient times, with this exhibition focusing on the expressive powers and sophisticated techniques of sculptors who crafted such works. The sequence begins with “faces,” “ornamenta- tion” and “motions and poses,” including the Wooden Statue of the God of War and other important cultural assets. Visi- tors are able to contemplate smiles, rage and other emotions, radiance materializing from the Buddha’s body and other tri- umphs of these classical artists often prone to be overlooked.
