Issue forty eIght 2018 PerehItanga wha tekau Ma waru Worship | Whānau | Mission Loving God | Loving Each Other | Loving One Another Kia ora koutou e te whānau, As we draw near to Christmas day and the holiday season, as 2018 draws to a close and the invitation of a new year is just around the corner, what a wonderful time to find some space, and reflect on the wonder of this season. The babe in the manger, Eternity clothed in frail humanity, the Word made flesh, continues to invite our surrender to Ultimate Love, humility, hope and meaning that transcends the commercial trappings of the season. Why not take some time to consider how you have been most aware of God this year, how have you been present to Him, to others, to yourself? What are the invitations of Holy Spirit for you, as well as for us as a church whānau, for the upcoming year? Far more than making new year’s resolutions, remember, the Spirit always initiates, we simply respond to what He is already doing. So, what’s He doing, and how might you/we respond?!
Be blessed over this season, if you are away on holiday, or remain at home working or relaxing, let the peace of God reign in your heart. Live from that place of peace, knowing you are Loved, and simply love others from this posture of grace. Looking forward to 2019 and the exciting adventures that the river of God may bring our way!
