president’s letter What’s on the President’s Mind EMC president I dan bybee Next Meeting T hanks to those who came out Friday to the meeting, should have made it the following week because of Good Friday, but was a little late thinking about it. Friday, Once again we had some great desert snacks May, 7th and couple new members showed up to check us out. Larry Miller Ford Had another Adams mystery gift box to pass out 6th & Simms and one new member was the lucky winner. Rocky 11595 W 6th Ave, Mountain Mustang Roundup and our Horsefeathers Lakewood, CO 80215 car show are moving right along with plans for really neat events. Looking forward to both shows at 7:00pm and also don’t forget the shooting event this month as it’s always fun to go shoot em up. See ya there DANtheBOSS 2 I APRIL 2021
BOARD REPORTS Parade and Show Horsefeathers flyers are printed and ready to hand out. We are looking for goody bag ideas and the T-shirt is in the design stage. RMMR So far 309 cars registered for the show and Autocross is almost sold out. The Drag racing event has been cancelled due to lack of participants. We need volunteers to help with trash pickup and striping the show parking area. New business Fall Driving Event is scheduled for September 11-12 and is in the planning stages with an unknown mystery destination. More info coming and you don’t have to drive a mustang to go but it’s encouraged. Some of last year’s highlights included lunch on the train, Canon City Prison and the amazing Skyview Drive. Happy Driving! DoT Bevard 1928 - 2021 Dot was a huge part of this club and ran the EMC Club store for years at EMC meetings. She will be APRIL club missed by all of us! Dot Bevard passed away peacefully at the age of meeting 92 on March 19, 2021 in Auburn, Alabama. She is survived by her husband Floyd (Bud) of Auburn, Alabama; a daughter Cynthia Peterson April Meeting at Larry Miller Ford with about 18 members present. Thanks to (Michael) Peterson of Oberlin, Kansas; Alan (Leigh) Bevard in Auburn, Alabama; Karin for bringing the tasty Pecan Bars. Yummy! Elizabeth (Jim) Heckel of Loveland, Colorado; Deana (Curtis) Austin of Melbourne, Florida and Gene Bevard of Melbourne, Florida and her eleven grandchildren, Zak, We had two new members to welcome at the meeting. Bruce has a 1965 Jesse, Caleb, Aaron, Alana, Aimee, Nate, Cade, Cody, Luke and Kerri and her Mustang Hi-Po convertible he has had since new that he won in a Sports fourteen great-grandchildren. Illustrated contest. Rob has a 1966 Mustang that he is working on with his four sons ages 11 to 15. Welcome aboard! Treasurer Treasurer reported a balance of $4247.18 in the general fund and $783.43 in the charity fund for a total of $5030.61. There have been 59 members plus family who have renewed their membership. Tourmaster Bristolcone Shooting Range April 16 is this month’s club event. It will be from 2-5 pm and they are located at 12105 West Cedar Drive Lakewood 80228. Any questions you can E- mail Brian at bbluoval@gmail.com. The first is reserved for standard pistol target shooting practice and has six fixed firing point lanes each with electronically controlled rail-based target retrieval systems. The second bay, with eight lanes, is equipped for tactical shooting practice and training. Here, the stalls are equipped with advanced tactical, fully automated, computer-controlled, 360° full turning target retrieval systems.
