Please continue in silent prayer for confession of personal matters. DECLARATION OF GOD’S PARDON Leader: Friends, believe the good news of the gospel. People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.
ANTHEM And All the Earth Shall Own Him Lord C.Hubert H. Parry Words by Brian Jeffery Leach (adapted from the poetry of William Blake) Westminster Choir Paul Burgess, piano Dan Sommerville, Director And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon Israel’s mountains green? And did the Christ of heaven come down? Was God in flesh both heard and seen? And did He die to prove His love? And did he rise more powerful still? And was His rule on earth started there Upon Golgotha’s tragic hill? Bring me my bow of burning gold! Bring me my arrows of desire! Bring me my spear! O clouds unfold! Bring me my Chariot of Fire! I will not cease to spread His light: My faith a shield, His Word my sword, “Till Christ, my God, is crowned as King, And all the earth shall own Him Lord. Pastor’s Bible Study Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in Stewart Hall The letter to the Romans stands as the clearest and most comprehensive presentation of Christian doctrine in all the Scriptures. When Paul wrote this magnificent letter, Rome was the cultural center of the world, boasting advancements like sturdy roads and a common language. Roman citizens were able to travel and communicate like never before. To this audience, Paul delivered the most extensive expression of the gospel ever given in Scripture. Romans walks us through the origin of sin and guilt, the impossibility of saving ourselves, and our ultimate deliverance in Christ. Join us weekly for this summer study as we explore the theology and life application of Romans.
