GREETING & GOOD NEWS Pastor Ron Brushwyler

CALL TO WORSHIP (1 John 4:7-10)

Pastor: Dear friends, let’s love each other, because love is from God, and everyone who
loves is born from God and knows God.
People: The person who doesn’t love does not know God, because God is love.
Pastor: This is how the love of God is revealed to us: God has sent his only Son into the
world so that we can live through him.
People: This is love: it is not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son as
the sacrifice that deals with our sins.
  Pastor: Let us worship God.

The Confession
CALL TO CONFESSION Pastor Ron Brushwyler

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Eternal God, you make all things new, forgiving what we cannot forget. We have failed
to love you with heart, soul, mind, and strength; and we have failed to love our neighbors
as ourselves. Daily we have done wrong, and failed to do what is right. We confess these
sins and repent of our waywardness. Forgive the past, and deliver us from guilt and shame.
Lead us into the future, led by the Spirit, with hope and joy in serving Jesus our Lord.

Please continue in silent prayer for confession of personal matters.

DECLARATION OF GOD’S PARDON
Leader: Friends, believe the good news of the gospel.
People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
