Student numbers for the short courses and workshops will be strictly limited to 5 to allow for acceptable spacing in the studio. A stand-by list will be recorded for each fully subscribed course and if there are 4 – 5 people on the list a repeat class will be scheduled on the same day from 2.00 – 4.00pm. The non-refundable fee is payable upon registration. Stand-by students are asked to pay the fee upon confirmation of the course going ahead. 2
The Leisure Artist These classes are suitable for the beginner & hobby artist who is looking to develop their creative and technical skills in a relaxed setting while enjoying the company of others. Students can bring their own choice of project to the class or work with Glenys to define their specific interests and needs then embark upon an artwork which will progress their skills. Classes are kept small to allow for plenty of tutor attention. Pay-as-you-go or pre-pay for the term at a discounted price – the choice is yours. Just bring any art materials you have for your project or if you are new to painting and drawing, just come along with your ideas and any images you may like to work from, and Glenys will provide guidance for the most suitable materials which can be purchased at the time. All media are catered for, except watercolours – although you are welcome to “dabble” with watercolours, Glenys prefers not to teach in this medium. Fees: • $22 per class pay-as-you-go (BYO materials) or • $20 per class ($180 for 9-week term, $200 for 10-week term), if full term is paid before the first class or • $25 per class – all materials supplied (except for canvas or board) or $23 per class if full term is paid before the first class ($207 for 9- week term or $230 for 10-week term). 3

Artists choose colours to express mood, to interpret form and to achieve a successful composition. This short course introduces basic colour theory which will assist you to mix colours, achieve colour harmony, and express the mood of the image you are painting or drawing. A workbook is provided which becomes a useful reference when the course is ended. • 10am - 12noon, Mondays March 28, April 4, and 11. • $75.00 fee includes all materials used for 3x 2-hour classes. • Protective clothing is recommended. 8
