WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP –Camper Essentials Backpack Meals Large, sturdy backpack with During weeks 1-9, Breakfast, your child’s name on it. lunch and afternoon snack will be provided by the Summer Food Program. During week 10, you will need to bring a lunch that does not need to be refrigerated. Swimsuit & Towel A plastic bag for wet swimsuit & towel along with goggles, if you child needs them. Complete Change of Clothing Water Bottle Baseball hat or Filled with water. visor Sunscreen Sweatshirt It can sometimes get chilly during the day. Please add your child’s name to everything they bring to camp. Also, please have your child dress appropriately for outdoor play. Please send your child in sneakers everyday. Active Track: Soccer Wacky Wednesday: Hawaiian Day Party in the USA Week 2 We will be celebrating Independence Day with banners, flags, patriotic songs and games. July 2-6 We will explore what makes America great and create all things RED, WHITE & BLUE! Active Track: Baseball Wacky Tuesday: Red, White, & Blue Day Field Trip: Recreation Park & Laurel Bowl Week 3 The Superhero in You July 9-13 Campers will have a chance to discover their own super human abilities while reenacting their favorite superheroes of all time. Kindness, bravery, strength and trustworthiness are just a few of the many super powers your child may discover! Active Track: Flag Football Wacky Wednesday: Super Hero Day Week 4 Splishin’ and Splashin’ Get ready to celebrate what makes summer truly a blast: Water balloons, slip ‘n’ slides, and cool July 16-20 tasty treats! Come prepared to get wet as we try and BEAT THE HEAT! Active Track: Basketball Wacky Wednesday: Sunglasses Day Field Trip to the Rumble Ponies stadium for splash day Week 5 Shake and Bake July 23-27 Shake some fun onto your cooking skills while we bake some delicious treats that encourage healthy eating. WEEKLY CAMP THEMES – Weeks 6-10 Week 6 Wonderful World of Magic July 30-Aug 3 Come take a tour of your favorite Disney tales, learn about the characters, movies, attractions and even some secrets only true Disney fans know! Active Track: Lacrosse Wacky Wednesday: Crazy Hat Day Field trip to Skate Estate. Week 7 Animal Planet Do you love animals? Campers will enjoy learning fascinating facts about our world’s animals Aug 6-10 while we enjoy animal creations, animal treats, crab walk, bunny hop races and more! Active Track: Kickball Wacky Wednesday: Pajama Day Week 8 VIP Superstars From style to stage, campers will take part in activities that any mini-rock star would enjoy Aug 13-17 (no guitars will be harmed in this process). Get ready to hit superstar status! Active Track: Floor Hockey Wacky Wednesday: Crazy Hair Day Field trip to Skate Estate. Week 9 Olympic Spirit Week Ready...Set….GO! Campers will use their skills to play hard, to create masterpieces and to go for Aug 20-24 the gold with some fun competitions! Active Track: Olympic Sports Wacky Wednesday: Crazy Socks Day Week 10 Every Day’s a Holiday Valentine’s Day, Easter and Halloween in the summer…You may have to come to camp as we end Aug 27– 31 our summer to find out about all our summer celebrations. Camp will provide the fun and you bring the energy for a full week of holiday cheer! We will definitely give thanks for a great summer, making awesome friends and for making amazing memories!
