Thank you for choosing the Lonnie Poole Golf Course for your next outing. With our breathtaking views,
championship links, great food and attention to detail, we are poised to make your experience one your
guests will never forget. The stunning layout has been designed by Arnold Palmer and the design team at
Arnold Palmer Design Company (including Erik Larsen and Brandon Johnson, both NC State graduates).
With breathtaking views of the Raleigh skyline and the award winning Centennial Campus, the golf course
has become a favorite in the golf community.
Lonnie Poole GC provides a public golf course on NC State’s Centennial Campus and is home of the
university men’s and women’s golf teams. It also facilitates turfgrass and storm water research associated
with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). Likewise, the golf course serves as a teaching
and training facility for the Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program in the College of Natural
Resources. It is a Certified Silver Audubon International Sanctuary, one of only two certified college
courses worldwide.
The course is playable for all skill levels and a large challenge to low handicap players. We feel that you
will find this course as one of the finest in the area, one of the best university facilities and worthy of one
of the premier universities in the nation. We look forward to hosting your event!

RECOMMENDED TOURNAMENT OPERATING SCHEDULE
8:30 a.m. – Registration
9:45 a.m. – Opening Announcements
10:00 a.m. – Shotgun Start
3:00 p.m. – Scoring, Awards and Reception
Tournaments may begin as early as three hours after sunrise.
Events with start times beginning after 11:00 a.m., Saturday events, or Sunday events
will be subject to an additional $1,500 course access fee.

Under North Carolina General Statute 14-269.2, the

on university property.

No third-party caterers, meals or beverages (other than donated beverages)
are permitted at the facility without first getting writtten permission your
event coordinator.
Use of the Terrace Dining Room space is not included in tournament package

please consult your event coordinator. All packages will be set up up under golf shop patio tent. Please
designate a time for each option.
MINI BREAKFAST | $12/PERSON
Start your day on the course with this breakfast option, ideal for early tee times. Enjoy freshly brewed
Port City Java coffee, hot water with assorted tea bags, assorted fruit juices, an assortment of freshly
baked pastries, seasonal fresh fruit tray, and your choice of either assorted breakfast biscuits (ham,
sausage and chicken) or breakfast burritos (sausage and southwest).

HOT OFF THE GRILL | $13/PERSON
Treat your players to grilled burgers and hot dogs with toppins and condiments (lettuce, tomato, onions
and cheese assortment), plus baked beans with molasses, hot dog chili, chips and assorted large
cookies for dessert. Veggie burgers also available on request.

ALCOHOL POLICY
No outside alcohol other than previously approved donated beverages (see below for details) is permitted
to be brought onto Lonnie Poole Golf Course property. If outside alcohol is brought onto the property, it will
be confiscated immediately (this includes samples given out by sponsors on the course). All alcohol must
be served by golf course/catering staff.
DONATED BEVERAGES
Clients may provide up to four(4) beverages per person with a fee of $3.00 per guest. Donated beverages
may include Coke products (soda, Dasani Water, and Powerade) and canned beer. Donated beer is not
required to be provided by a distributor. No liquor or wine will be permitted.
Product must be “donated” to the Lonnie Poole Golf Course and should be delivered by 4 p.m. the day
before the tournament. Please contact the golf shop at 919.515.6527 upon arrival for assistance unloading.
Unused product will be transferred to and become the property of NC State Dining and will not be returned
to the client.
Donated product fee includes one distribution source of either a beverage cart or single station. Additional
distribution options are available for $50 per addition.
All distribution sources will be staffed with an attendant when alcohol is involved. Additional non-staffed
stations may be provided at no cost if alcohol is not being served. Clients will have the option to run a tab
for their guests on the day of the event, and tabs must be paid at the snack bar before departing.
COVID 19 OPERATIONS
Until further notice, donated product will be distributed from the snack bar window.
