English • English 9 (Graduation Requirement) • Available in Standard and Honors • 4 years of credits in English required (1 each year!!!) • AP (Advanced Placement) English classes are offered to 11th and 12th Graders
Math • Algebra 1 Daily – Available in Standard • Geometry Honors – received a “C” or better in Algebra 1 Math Graduation Requirements: • 4 credits of Math required • Honors level offered in 9th-12th Grade • AP Levels offered in 11th/12th Grade
Science • 9th Grade Sciences Include: • Environmental Science – Standard Level • Honors Biology Science Graduation Requirements: • 3 years or credits in science are required • Honors classes offered in all grade levels • AP courses available to 11th/12th graders • Both semester and year-long courses are available
Social Studies • 9th Grade Social Studies Includes: • History of the U.S. – Standard and Honors • AP U.S. History with Seminar (Daily) Social Studies Graduation Requirements: • 3 credits in Social Studies courses (History of the U.S., U.S. Government, and World History) • Honors and AP classes available in all grades • AP Human Geography is an Elective course (students must still take U.S. History)
Global Community Citizenship • Requirement for all students beginning with the class of 2023 • What is this class??? • Introductory signature course designed to explore the values and diversity of our local, national, and global communities • Includes: Self Exploration, Collaborative Group Work, Project Based Learning, Discussion of Current Events and Issues

Center for Applied Technology(CAT-North) 9th Grade elective that anyone can take 32 technical programs of study Learn ‘hands on’ training for any one of the 32 programs Go to CAT-N for part of the day and GBHS for the other part of the day for major subjects Gain knowledge, skills, and career training to enter the workforce after high school for some careers (i.e. cosmetology) Gain “pre”-career training so only two years of training/education after high school for some careers (i.e. electrician)
