April 2021 PRAYER DIARY Daniel, Mei, Keziah & Kaelyn Interserve Thank you very much for faithfully remembering us in your prayers and the love and care we have received from you since our return last September. We are transitioning from our ‘Home Assignment’ into being ‘Partners’ here in the UK with our organisation on the 1st of April. We knew there would be re-entry challenges before coming to the UK, but the Covid-19 situation here has made it extra hard. Please pray we will start to feel at ‘home’ here and especially for our girls. Pray for friends for them here. Despite the restrictions, we are learning to be kind to ourselves and trying to make use of each day that He has gifted to us. We’ve started a free monthly online ‘English Corner’ for our former English students and contacts in Southeast Asia earlier this year. Through practicing everyday conversation, we aim to be signposts towards Him and be available if anyone wants to share needs or talk about deeper things. We’ve encountered challenges with the online platform we were using. Pray that we can find another more reliable platform. Pray we will not let technology discourage us and our
contacts will not lose their enthusiasm of wanting to improve their English with us. As part of our outreach, we are looking for partnerships with churches in Manchester, to assist them with reaching out to the diverse communities around them through the vehicle of English teaching. We are in conversation with one of our supporting churches in Oldham who are interested to have us help them start an English conversation class. Do pray for people in the church to want to be a part of this. Our desire is the church will eventually feel able to run the classes themselves. As our support levels only enable us to work part-time with our organisation, we are keeping an eye out for a part-time paid position, for at least one of us. Do pray for His provision and the right job to come up. We have enjoyed being a part of the church community. We have been truly blessed to have you faithfully partnering with us in our journey and we pray for His blessings and encouragement for you too. With love, Daniel and Mei (with Keziah and Kaelyn) Prayer points: - For the family, especially the girls to begin to feel ‘at home’ in the UK and make friends To find a more reliable online platform for the English corner For the new English courses; that people will want to be involved For the provision of suitable paid employment
