Entry into Poly Through the Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE) • The DAE is conducted separately by each polytechnic • ‘O’ Level holders should apply through the JAE first before considering DAE. • The application for DAE typically closes before the commencement of the polytechnic term in April. • Students interested to participate in DAE should visit the individual polytechnics’ websites or contact the relevant polytechnics directly.

The Arts Institutions Courses are hands-on with a focus in the visual and performing arts (e.g. Design, Animation, Fine Arts, Media, Dance, Music) Students graduate with a Diploma

Summary of Admissions Applications GCE ‘O’ Level certificate holders can apply through the Joint Admissions Exercise(JAE), for admission to courses offered by: •Junior Colleges (JC) •Millennia Institute (MI) •Polytechnics (Poly) •Institute of Technical Education (ITE), For admissions to Polys, Polys have additional admissions exercises DAE. For ‘O’ Level holders who wish to apply to Arts Institutions, they can apply directly to the institutions.

JAE 2019 Application • Complete the worksheet (plan) • You are required to key in your NRIC / FIN and the JAE PIN to access the JAE-IS. • Make full use of your 12 choices. • Retain a copy of the verification slip.

Admission to Tertiary Institutions • Please make full use of your 12 choices. • You are strongly encouraged to indicate at least 2-3 courses where your aggregate scores are much better than the previous year’s course cut-off points (COP), so that you will stand a better chance to be admitted to one of your course choices.
Admission to Tertiary Institutions - Appeals • Please note that you need to meet the COP of the JC course, if not, the appeals are not likely to be successful • If you do not meet the COP of the JC course and wish to appeal for a transfer due to serious medical conditions, you can submit an appeal to MOE for consideration.
Mother Tongue Elective Programme (MLEP & CLEP) In the GCE O level examination, students must obtain at least: Grade B3 in HMT (HCL / HML) or Grade A2 in MT (CL / ML)
Polytechnic Foundation Programme Application Window Start End 14 January, 2.00pm 18 January, 4.00pm Posting Results 22 January 2019 @ 2.00pm (PFP website) Students who reject their PFP offer will be required to continue to report their secondary schools on to continue Secondary 5.
