Prayer & Fasting immediately after Divine Service Black History Family Drumming TONIGHT GATEKKEEPERS OF HIS GRACE: One of the great things about God's grace is the safe haven it offers to a transparent heart. He doesn't require masks in His throne room. Jesus makes people feel comfortable even when He catches them without their makeup. When circumstances scrub off the layers of their self-confidence, and their shortcomings wash away the foundation of their self- righteousness, Jesus isn't appalled by the blemishes He finds underneath. There's no sin too bad, no doubt too big, no question too hard, and no heart too broken for His grace to deal with. These are the very things that children need to learn early on in their lives, and God has given parents the respon- sibility to be the gatekeepers of His grace. It is your careful response to these fragile issues that plays the key role in whether your children will even be inclined to head down the path to God's grace. - Grace Based Parenting, pg 164 PARENT(S)’S RESPONSIBILITY: Parent(s), you are responsible for your child(ren) at all times. A child or children under 14 years MUST BE accom- panied by an adult to the restroom, at snack time, and during lunch break. Your child(ren) MUST BE in your company at all times. The Seniors’ Ministry - President’s Office seniors’ trip 2019 will be to Sight & Sound Theatre to see “Jesus”. The trip will be in July, so please start your preparation. Registration forms will be ready in one month. Please see Seniors’ Ministry leaders. Power Hour, Wednesday, February 6, 2019 @ 7:00 p.m. Presenters: Elders Volence Drummond & Royson James 4

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Can you imagine Joshua leading an entire nation into a foreign country to do battle with his enemies? And to top it off, his mentor, Moses had died. Now Joshua is on his own. No wonder he felt fear. But God’s words to Joshua serve as encouragement in times of fear. God promises to be with us wherever we go, no matter what insur- mountable odds we may face. 8
