Useful information RIS extracurricular activities will begin on Monday 26th September 2022 and end on Friday 16 June 2023. The activities will follow the term dates and school closure, as indicated in the school calendar, available at this link. POINTS TO NOTE: 1. The after-school clubs will follow the school’s health and safety policy, which is aligned with government guidelines. The courses offered and structure of the extracurricular programme are subject to change according to forthcoming guidelines released by local and national authorities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2. The deadline for registration is Friday 23rd September and most clubs begin on Monday 26th September. 3. The cost for each club is annual and non-refundable. Fees must be paid in full by 24th September. 4. From 19th to 23rd September it will be possible for students to participate in trial lessons after-school. Parents must book their child’s place in advance of 16th September. Students attending trial lessons will be accompanied to the activities by a member of staff and parents can pick-up their child after the lesson ends. 5. Classes will generally run between 15:30 to 18:00. A late bus will be available from Monday to Friday for students - over 6 years of age –who attend after school clubs. 6. A minimum of six (6) participants must register in each club or it will be cancelled. There are also maximum numbers of enrolment for each club. 7. Children who are disruptive and uncooperative will receive a warning from the teacher and if this behaviour continues, they will be asked to discontinue the course. 8. If a student is not able to attend a scheduled private music lesson, the teacher must be informed at least 24 hours in advance. Should this absence not be communicated, the missed lesson will be deducted from the total number of lessons purchased. 9. A medical certificate for sport activities is required for students above 11 years old.

NURSERY TO YEAR 1
Starting from September 2022 NU to Y1 families can choose to extend their
child’s high-quality education and care, after-school. The importance of play is
at the forefront of our ethos in the Early Years. Therefore the philosophy of the
Extended Care programme is that all children should be allowed time for
unstructured play after their school day in a safe, familiar, and caring
environment.
During Extended Care students will be exposed to a variety of play-based
and creative activities, outdoor learning, library-time and will have the
opportunity to take part in stories and Drama.
The flexible nature of this service allows parents to choose a schedule and
frequency that works for them. Students can be enrolled in 1 or more days and
students may join the extended care following the completion of an after-school
club with an earlier end-time.
