PLAYERS, COACHES, MANAGERS, UMPIRES PARENTS, FRIENDS, CAREGIVERS AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS MUST ALL ABIDE BY SNA CODE OF CONDUCT, PLAY AND RESPECT EVERYONE PLEASE READ BELOW THE SHOALHAVEN NETBALL RULES AND REGULATIONS SHOALHAVEN NETBALL ASSOCIATION CODE OF CONDUCT We would like to make players, coaches, managers and parents aware of the following points. • Play for the ‘fun of it’ and not just to please parents and coaches • Play by the rules • Never argue with an official. If you disagree have your captain or coach approach the official during the break or after the game. • Control you temper. Verbal abuse of officials or other players, deliberately fouling or provoking an opponent and throwing equipment is not acceptable or permitted in any sport. • Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your team’s performance will benefit, so will you. • Be a good sport. Cheer all good plays whether they be by your team or the other team • Treat all players as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage or another player. • Cooperate with your coach, team mates and opponents. Without them there would be no game. • Attend all training sessions. If you are unable to attend, then you need to contact the coach or manager PRIOR to training. Remember for a training session to be effective ALL team members need to be present. WHAT PARENTS CAN DO TO ASSIST • Ensure players are punctual and properly dressed for training games. • Be POSITIVE both at training and at games • If you have any concerns, please see the coach privately in order to address the issue • DO NOT abuse or harass the umpires as without them there is no game. If you have any concerns, see the coach or a committee member. IT’S THEIR GAME – NOT YOURS!!
