Momentum Athletic Center was founded in 2016 for a very simple reason. We wanted to create a haven for our community that would allow all children a safe, fun and nurturing place to learn invaluable life lessons. At Momentum, it has been our mission to provide every child that enters our gym the opportunity to learn life lessons and skills that can help them grow to become healthy, happy and productive people. We are committed to delivering the very best that cheerleading has to offer. It is our hope to assist you as parents in developing a foundation for respect, discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, integrity, the power of failure and the joy of success. Cheerleading is the vehicle, but our mission, our people and our commitment are our fuel.

ATTENDANCE POLICY We do not allow our All-Star Elite athletes to participate in any other sports or activities that will consistently conflict with practices. Our Elite program requires a time commitment, therefore we ask our athletes to focus on this program substantially. Please notify your coach of any absence with at least one days notice. Excused absences include school events that are graded, family emergency, or an illness defined as fever of over 100.4, a stomach virus, untreated lice, pink eye or within the first 24 hours of antibiotics for Strep. If your child is sick on a team practice day, please email or text your coach (not the front desk) by 3:00 PM to let them know. If it is a condition listed above, your athlete should stay home. Others should come to practice to observe. Missing a major Momentum event, camp or competition for any reason may result in your athlete taking an alternate status. Athletes who are sick are expected to do everything in their power to compete. In the case of severe illness leading up to a competition, parents are asked to seek medical attention for the illness as soon as possible and to stay in frequent communication with the coaches. During two weeks prior to all Competitions, there are NO absences allowed. Missing a practice during these weeks can result in a temporary alternate position.
ATHLETE POLICY Here at Momentum we hold our athletes to the highest of standards. We expect them to be polite, humble, and involved. Laid out are a few policies all Mojo athletes must follow. Athletes are to be on time. Athletes are to be supportive and encouraging of their teammates. We are an inclusive gym and athletes are expected to act accordingly. Athletes are to be supportive and polite towards other teams at events, regardless of the outcome. Sportsmanship is required, always. Athletes are not to post any negative, demeaning, or inappropriate content on their social media. Doing so can and will result in appropriate consequences. Athletes are to be on top of their grades and ensure school remains a priority throughout the season. Athletes are to follow the law. If an athlete is found engaging in illegal activity on Momentum property or at a Momentum event, they are subject to immediate removal from the program.
IMPORTANT POINTS All candidates must show a $0 balance on their Momentum account from any previous commitments to be placed on a team for the 2020-2021 Season. All athletes' registration and insurance dues must remain current throughout the year. You are agreeing to a ELEVEN month financial commitment and will owe tuition for all ELEVEN months. If tuition is still owed on the 17th of the month, a $25 late fee will be added to your account. If the viewing area becomes a negative environment at any time in the year, the team involved will be asked to follow a drop off policy for the time being. We generally purchase new uniforms every other year. Since this is our introductory Elite season, all athletes will be REQUIRED to purchase a uniform and bow. You may sell/swap the following season. If an athlete is unable to finish their year due to injury or relocation, we will balance your account determining the fees and tuition that have been spent. You will receive a credit from Momentum for any fees or tuition that have been paid but not used. If an athlete quits without a doctor's written excuse, they will be responsible for paying any uncovered expenses and an additional $100 re-choreography fee. If the athlete resigns prior to receiving any part of their uniform, accessories or practice clothes, the items will become the property of Momentum, and the athlete will not receive a refund. All resignations must be received in writing. If your athlete cannot attend a mandatory team event, please understand this is not the responsibility of the coaches to hold your athletes spot. Missing any of these events or camps can place your child under an alternate status. We appreciate your understanding in this matter. Athletes who are found engaging in illegal activity on Momentum property or at a Momentum event are subject to removal from the program without notice. Momentum strictly enforces a NO TOLERANCE policy.
