Please support the Mongolian Mission trip by donating any Coles Fresh Stikeez you can. The Stikeez show different vegetables and fruit. We will give these out to the children in Ulaangom, CALVARY hoping to teach the children about the benefits of eating vegetables and fruit. Stikeez can be given to Nina at the church office or to Ashton and/or Bolormaa. May we never lose the vision of the cross of Calvary. Thanks again for your support. It was here Divine love mingled with untold agony. It was here they whipped the Son of God, till every tear was deep, Bolormaa But Jesus remained silent, as their spit rolled down His cheek. A crown of thorns was placed with force upon his bleeding brow, And His blood then mingled with His tears. But dignified and silent, Jesus stood there all alone, And listened to their loud abusive jeers. When Jesus took the cross that was forced into His arms, Its weight was more than He could bear. And He fell onto that rocky, dusty, dirty road, And laughingly they clapped and mocked at His despair. They took Him, and they laid Him on that wooden cross, And nailed to it His precious hands and feet. The jarring force was cruel; the agony was brutal, It was then in pain, that Jesus tried to speak. “Father, please forgive them.” “Forgive them” were His words, For it was only Jesus who could estimate their worth. And as they looked up at that cross and gazed into His face, Amazed, they saw forgiveness, mercy, love and grace. Battered, bruised and bleeding, Jesus died a death of shame, But on day three, God called Him and He rose to life again. Glorified, triumphant, Jesus came forth from that tomb, Removing every shadow and every hint of gloom. For death there, lost the battle; when Jesus rose, He set us free, Destroying then sin’s bondage, throughout eternity. He has promised that He will return in might and majesty, To take all those who love Him home, to live for eternity. And as those ceaseless ages roll, one theme of praise will be, It’s the love of a risen Saviour, and the Cross of Calvary. Gwenallen Devries © 2013 9 2
