Welcome to 2020 Monday 6 to Thursday 9 April Calling all 10 to 16 year olds! Young people from all over Guildford are invited to join in the fun and excitement at FISH this Easter. Times Venue Drop Off Collection Kings College Southway Standard Day 10am 4pm to 4.15pm Park Barn Guildford Extended Day 8.30am 5pm Surrey GU2 8DU Prices Non Borough Concessions * Standard Price Residents Standard Day £32 per week £75 per week £125 per week Extended Day £45 per week £100 per week £150 per week Additional Activities £11 per activity £17 per activity £24 per activity *The concessionary rates apply to Guildford Borough residents in receipt of Income Support, elements of Universal Credit, Job Seekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance, Housing Benefit, Local Council Tax Support, Personal Independence Payments (PIP) or Disability Living Allowance.
Additional Needs FISH aims to provide inclusive opportunities for young people with a disability or additional needs, who require extra or one-to-one support. Please indicate when you book if you require this service, or contact us for more information. FISH Transport Scheme Young people who have no alternative means of getting to FISH are able to book a place on our Transport Scheme, which operates from the following locations (free with a £1 weekly booking fee): Ash South & Tongham: Ash Manor School, Manor Road, Ash, GU12 6QH Ash Vale: St Mary’s Church, Vale Road, Ash Vale, GU12 5JE Ash Wharf: Ash Youth Centre, Ash Hill Road, Ash, GU12 5DN Bellfields: Weyfield Primary School, School Close, Woking Road, Guildford, GU1 1QJ Normandy: Royal British Legion, Guildford Road, Normandy, GU3 2AW Stoughton: Emmanuel Church, Shepherd’s Lane, Stoughton, Guildford, GU2 9SJ
How it Works School holidays are all about having fun and at FISH we pride ourselves on providing young people with the choice and freedom they need to enjoy themselves, as well as the opportunity to learn and develop through play. Onsite Activities Activities vary each day (examples below), some are Play worker led and some are led by specialist facilitators. All of these activities run as drop-in sessions, so young people can move about freely and choose what they want to participate in and for how long. Play Sport Art PlayZone Chill Out Climbing wall Roller hockey Film making Air hockey Board games Go Karts Aeroball Animation Arts & crafts Books & magazines Giant inflatables Basketball DJing Space hoppers Giant bean bags Laser quest Archery Tag Graffiti art Sports equipment Playstation 3 Den building 3G football Performing arts Table football Wii / Wii Dance Playrangers Tennis Crafts workshops Table tennis Xbox One S Firebowl cooking Trampolining Lego workshops Pool tables DVDs Zorbing Dodgeball Lino printing Face painting Giant Jenga Bookings are only taken on a weekly basis, with a choice of extended or standard days: Standard Day • 10am to 4pm • Free choice of on-site drop-in sessions and free-play • Pre booked day trips also operate within the standard day Extended Day • 8.30am to 5pm • Additional hours to relax, play and socialise • Free-play opportunities are available in the Chill Out and PlayZone areas, as well as outside • Designed for working parents or families who require child care during these hours • Scheduled drop-in sessions start at 10am and end at 4pm
Day Trips Day trips operate within the standard day of 10am to 4pm. They must be booked in advance and will be allocated on a first come first served basis with a maximum of two per person per week. All day trips will incur an extra charge of £17 per activity (£11 for those who qualify for the concessionary rate and £24 for non-borough residents). This price includes transport to and from the activity, staff supervision and the activity itself. View the Day Trips Timetable 4
