T25 series: Standard Low chloride The T25 series of Disinfectant Generators are developed to be used in many different water applications
Generator description The T25 is available in 2 versions- a standard and a low-chloride version. The difference between standard and low-chloride version is the quantity of remaining chloride in the NEUTHOX®. (Standard 3800 mg/L low Chloride 1700 mg/L). In applications with recirculation of the water (cooling towers, ice water, tunnel pasteurizations applications) we recommend using the low chloride version. The T25 standard is available in five capacities 40, 80, 120, 250 and 400 litres per hour. The T25 low chloride is available in three capacities 50, 100 and 250 litres per hour. The size of generator you require is dependent on the amount of water you wish to treat and the initial conditions of the water. On the next page, you will find a dosing guide to assist you in calculating your requirements. The capacity is based on 20 operation hours per day. This allows for a safety margin to account for unexpected increase in the water’s biological load and also provides enough time for the generator to perform automatic self-maintenance routines. The pH and thereby the relation between NEUTHOX® and CATHOX® can be adjusted in the PLC (please see the manual) The production split can be adjusted between 100 % NEUTHOX® pH 8, 0, 50% NEUTHOX® pH 3,4 and 50 % CATHOX® pH 11, 3. (See specifications in table on page 4) In order to commission the generator the technician needs to know the hardness of the local water supply in order to set the built in water softener to the correct regenerating cycle. (Hardness kit included in delivery) A 3 Micron filter is built in the generator to remove particles that could affect the optimal performance of the generator. If however your water supply has a high level of sediment we recommend installing an external filter between the potable water supply and the generator. High levels of Iron and Manganese can adversely affect the performance of the generator cell. The built in softening system will remove low levels of these contaminants. If the level is above 0,5 mg/L for iron and 0.1 mg/L for manganese we would recommend that a separate removal system is installed. Our partner company will be happy to advise you on this point with an additional filter. If you are using well water and it is contaminated with oxidized Iron or Manganese (the water often takes on a red/ brown colour) a separate removal system is always necessary. The generator requires a 3 phase 400 volt 50/60 Hz power supply located within 3 meters of the generator plus a potable water supply, having pressure between three and seven bar with a shut off valve terminating in a fitting within 2 meters of the generator. Please see page 3 for full specification and requirements of the generator. There should also be a suitable wastewater point or connection within 3 meters of the generator.
Dosing Levels and Methods The amount of NEUTHOX® which should be added to a water system is dependent on the application and the biological load within the water. The higher the biological load the greater the concentration. Experience has shown that for the majority of applications dosing levels in the range of 1:1000(0,5 PPM ) to 1:500 ( 1,0 PPM) are sufficient. In some cases a water sample analyzes can be very useful to determine the needed dosing level In these cases, please send a sample of 1 litre to our address through your partner.
