OSCA’s NCS Award Year 11 students at OSCA took part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) Trust Award Scheme over the 2019 to 2020 term. The academy has recently received a certificate of congratulations on retaining its Champion School Status, signed by the RT HON Boris Johnson Prime Minister. The scheme is to designed to help students develop their skills through adventurous activities, teambuilding, leadership exercises and exploring their local community through a series of challenges. This is open to all schools and colleges in the Dudley and Sandwell area for their Year 11 and 6th Form students on a first come first served basis. The programme will continue at OSCA as it supports the continuous opportunities the academy offers the students, many of whom have already participated and benefitted from these. It has supported the development of their confidence and self-esteem; as well as the development of key life skills. Vital to their future success. Great Start! OSCA welcomed our new Year 7’s along with our year 8,9,10 and 11 students to the academy at the beginning of September. It was wonderful to see all the students back at school and enjoying school life once again. The students have adapted to the new routines around Covid healthy and safely rules brilliantly and are relishing being back in the classrooms and getting on with their education. It was also great seeing PC Tedds supporting our students once again, which got the thumbs from our Year 9 student Christian in V5. OSCA students are you Interested in Panjabi Lessons?
