(BIRTH YEARS 2013, 2014, & 2015) Evaluations will be held in April to assess player interest and skill level Registration must be completed on-line and a tryout fee will be required. • Station style practices designed to improve skating, passing, and puck handling. • 1-2 ice touches per week • 50-60 minutes per each ice touch • Approximately 50-60 combined ice touches per season • 8-10 cross ice tournament style games with optional tournaments • 4-5 Homes games at the Belmont Complex in Kittanning, PA • 4-5 Away games at rinks participating in PAHL (Pittsburgh Amateur Hockey League) • Local or travel tournaments optional • 2-4 tournaments determined by parents and coaches for each individual team • One local tournament paid for by AAHL • Multiple skill level groups • Teams separated according to USA Hockey Red, White, and Blue criteria • Red- Advanced Level Players (play ½ ice games) • White- Intermediate Level Players (play cross-ice games) • Blue- Beginner Level Players (play cross-ice games) • Team assignments made after approximately 4 weeks of practice • Skill levels separated based on the players registered each season • The number of teams at each level will vary from year to year • Teams Play in PAHL jamborees against teams of the same skill level • Participation in Belmont In-House Hockey Program • Available to all participants in Armstrong Arrows Teams • One hour per week from November – March • Mix of practices and games • Free to AAHL players • Cost $650.00 ($700.00 Payment Plan) / $860.00 with Kitchen Buyout ($910 Payment Plan) • Home and Away Jerseys and socks are required • 4-5 shifts of 3hours in Belmont Complex kitchen required without buyout • Fundraising opportunities available to assist with tournament fees • Registration open April throughout Summer for the season beginning in September Contact: AAHL Hockey Director- Lee Grafton at: aahlhockeydirector@yahoo.com AAHL President- Jim Rearic at: jrearic@ppclubricants.com
SPRING 3 ON 3 HOCKEY LEAGUE Spring 3 on 3 Hockey League – This league is open to any player from any organization that is registered with USA Hockey. The Spring 3 on 3 League is a great opportunity to get additional ice in April and May. Rules: Full-Ice Competition 45 Minute Running Clock with 3 Minute Pregame Warmup Non-Stop Action / Run 'n Gun Hockey No Icing / No Offside None-Checking Full Equipment No Set Positions - You play as a three-man unit No time for celebration after you score.... Opponent fishes the puck out of the net & comes right back at you Each team will play a minimum of 5 games. There are no playoff games. If you aren't in shape before 3 on 3 you will be afterwards Teams: Teams will consist of 8-12 skaters and 1 goaltender (goaltenders may be rostered on multiple teams). Players will register individually and will be placed on a team by league director. League director has the authority to move players from team to team to allow for competitive balance. Ages: Ages from 10U Squirt through 18U Midget (Players will skate in divisions based on age levels for the upcoming 2021-2022 season - USA Hockey birthday requirements. 18U Midgets aging out this current season will skate in 18U Midget Division). The Age Divisions are as Follows: 10U Squirt / 12U PeeWee: 2009 - 2012 Birth Years 14U Bantam / 16U Midget: 2005 - 2008 Birth Years 18U Midget: 2002 - 2004 Birth Years Where: Games will be played at the Belmont Complex located in Kittanning, Pa When: Games will begin in April and run through May 2021. Most games will be played Saturdays and Sundays. Costs: Cost of the league will be $100 and charged at the time of registration. Goaltenders are free (Goaltenders must still register). Registration Deadline: Friday, March 19, 2021 - Registration will be closed when we reach maximum number of teams at each division. REGISTER AT: www.armstrongarrows.com
