Primary Find My Spark Program Students at Matthew Flinders Anglican College have access to a vast and interesting range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, which affords them the opportunity of exploring different interests and passions and engage in a broad holistic education. Our renewed co-curricular program, entitled ‘Find My Spark’ emphasises inclusion and fun, and gives students the opportunity to discover and expand their talents. The following list outlines some of the co-curricular activities available in the Primary School. Activities are subject to change and parents are advised what is on offer at the start of each school year. Throughout the year, a range of musical, sporting, cultural and lifestyle activities, along with creative pursuits are designed for students of different ages. Find My Spark activities occur at different times throughout the day, from before school to lunch time clubs and after-school activities. They range from a Sports Development Program for our Years 2 - 3 students, to clubs in chess, yoga and gardening, technology programs and a full range of music ensembles, to name just a few. An overview of the annual Find My Spark activities is provided early in Term 1 each year. Flinders Voices is an auditioned group for students in Years 5 and 6; students and parents are notified of the audition process in Term 4 preceding the year of eligibility. Please note that students selected to join Flinders Voices are required to have singing lessons. Students who join the Flinders Band (Years 3-6) and Flinders String Orchestra (Years 3-6) do so on the advice of their Studio Teacher after individual studio lessons have commenced.
