Who are the E-Voc Project partners?
          Spanish Platform of Volunteering (Spain). A non-profit organisation coordinating the promotion of volunteering at national
          level in Spain. The Spanish Platform of Volunteering was founded in 1986 and is composed of 79 organisations active at national
          level as well as regional and provincial platforms from all around Spain. In total, the Spanish Platform of Volunteering represents
          more than 29.000 voluntary organisations and 4 million volunteers.

          CSVnet (Italy) is the national coordinating body of the Italian Volunteer Support Centres (CSVs). CSVnet was established in
          2003, enhancing the former experience of the CSVs' National Union, active since 1999. Nowadays it brings together and
          represents over 95% of the 74 Italian CSVs with more than 300 branches all over Italy.

          NUI Galway (Ireland). With over 17.000 students and more than 2.400 staff, National University of Ireland Galway has a
          distinguished reputation for teaching and research excellence. Each year, NUI Galway students have positive impacts on the
          community with over 1,400 students learning and applying their knowledge in the real world through service learning
          studentvolunteer.ie

          EDOS Foundation (The Netherlands) initiates training courses, projects, and other educational activities to stimulate and
          facilitate the personal and professional development of adults and youngsters who are professionally or voluntary active in the
          field of adult education, youth work, and welfare work.

Details of the E-Voc Project

●   Project financed by the Erasmus+ of the European Union, KA2: Strategic partnerships in the field
    of Vocational Education and Training.

●   EU funding: 129,598.00 Euros.

●   Duration: 1st November 2016 to 31st October 2018.

●   Target group: Volunteer Coordinators and other professionals from the voluntary sector.

●   Result: the first online training course on the validation of competences in the European voluntary
    sector.

●   Objective: to improve the offer, accessibility and quality of training on the validation of competences
    in the European voluntary sector.

                     Revision of the Programme of Work for the two years of project implementation.
                          Presentation of the partners’ proposals for the online training course.

                 Second transnational project meeting in Bemmel (The Netherlands), May 2017
               Presentation and group evaluation of the content developed by each partner up to date.
                                       First testing of the e-learning platform.

E-LEARNING ON THE VALIDATION OF COMPETENCES IN THE EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SECTOR

                     Testing, September 2017 to January 2018
                     In order to evaluate how effective the online training course was in delivering the target
                     learning outcomes and to identify what needed to be improved, the project partners tested it
                     with 20 professional Volunteer Coordinators (10 from Italy and 10 from Spain)

                      Third transnational project meeting in Rome (Italy), January 2018
                         Presentation and group evaluation of the results from the testing.
                     Definition of the improvements to implement on the online training course.

                          Fourth transnational project meeting in Galway (Ireland), June 2018
                     Presentation and group evaluation of the final version of the online training course.
                Revision of the guidelines for the dissemination and exploitation of the project results.

    In order to present the project results to potential users, the project partners will organise multiplier events in the four
                                            countries represented in the partnership.

An example

             A volunteer manager in Scouts can
               take the online course and then
              implement the ideas in the course
               into the training programme and
             activities that volunteers undertake.

              The volunteer can then approach
               an institution and ask for RPL -
             course credit - or admission - based
              on the evidence of their scouting
                           activities.
● This course is a free online open source course - available to all.
● It is not accredited formally.
● If your organisation undertakes this course then your volunteers will be
  able to identify what they are doing as a Certificate, Diploma, Degree
  (QQI - Level 5, 6, 7).
What is in the online training course in 4 Units ?

                                              Introduction to Competences
     The European Qualifications Framework, the ECVET and the ECTS, and the main European validation tools

• what are the EQF and the European credit systems ECTS and ECVET?
They are the mechanisms of the European credit systems ECTS and ECVET for the validation of the non-formal and informal
learning.

•   what are the most popular European tools for the validation of competences and how they work?
Present the competences acquired by volunteers using the Europass documents (Europass CV, Europass Skills Passport,
and Europass Mobility).
