An historic and thriving market town Situated on the banks of the river Deben the ancient market town of Woodbridge has long been one of Suffolk’s best kept secrets. Woodbridge boasts a long and varied history but its Anglo-Saxon heritage firmly placed the town on the map with the world famous discovery of the Sutton Hoo royal burial ship. This unique archaeological site, which has been described as page one of British history, sits overlooking the town. Culture enthusiasts are in for a treat with two museums and interesting places to visit such as the restored Tide Mill, which many consider to be the symbol of the town. The Seckford Theatre hosts performances by local as well as touring companies and regular musical recitals. The more active will enjoy exploring the picturesque local villages as well as a variety of coastal and wildlife walks. Those with a more nautical nature may enjoy the excellent sailing facilities on offer. The Shire Hall Tide Mill at Woodbridge The Thoroughfare

Why I am glad to have made the move to McCarthy & Stone I lived in a bungalow before I bought my apartment but it’s amazing how the little jobs that needed doing added up. Now I don’t have to worry about a thing. I reckon I’m at least £50 a month better off since moving. Stella Swinburne, Browning Court, Newcastle Everyone has been so kind here and I’ve already made lots of new friends. I’m naturally a quiet person and I know I would have been lonely in our old house. It already feels like home - only better. Safer, cosier, easier to get around and I still have my own front door and independence. It really is a wonderful place to live.
