About Your Celebration
Nestled in the heart of Hampshire barely forty miles from London, West Green House Gardens offers four seasons of
beauty, contrast and inspiration. Created by acclaimed garden designer and writer, Marylyn Abbott, it is one of England’s
finest manor house gardens, marrying traditional style with contemporary design. It’s a garden for all seasons and a unique
venue for private events.
Filled with flowers and natural light, the Greenhouse is an enchanting setting for a special party. The original Orangery,
built in the 1770’s, is a delightful and intimate space for smaller groups. While both the Lakefield and Apple Orchard
offer a spectacular backdrop for a large-scale marquee event.
The garden encircles the 18th century baroque house, and boasts its own lake, moongate, nymphaeum temple and Chinese
chicken garden, complete with pekin bantams. Guests are free to enjoy the grounds and it provides a picture-perfect
setting for photographs. The quintessential kitchen garden yields a wealth of delicious homegrown produce, which is
put to good use by the experienced team of chefs. Rhubarb is particularly abundant, inspiring West Green’s own indulgent
rhubarb ice cream
Whether you’re planning a wedding, anniversary, christening or birthday, our capable events team will be on hand to
make sure your party is seamlessly organised. From the planning stages to the day itself, we’ll make sure it’s an unforgettable
experience for you and your guests.

Private Events in the Garden
The garden’s flower filled Greenhouse is available for private hire, a beautiful setting for your party.
The Garden and Greenhouse are available for hire during our opening season from March to October.
Please remember that West Green House is a privately owned garden open to the public and not a
designated party/wedding venue.
Small Parties in the Greenhouse 11 am to 4.30 pm
Up to 40 guests £1000
Evening parties and larger groups price on application
Weddings in the Greenhouse 11 am to 11 pm
Up to 50 guests £4000
Up to 80 guests £5000
Celebrant Wedding Ceremony in the Garden 11 am to 4 pm
Lakefield £600
Small Parties in the Greenhouse
Catering by West Green House for either lunch or Afternoon Tea. Bring your own alcohol (without
further charge) or wine and a bar can be arranged by West Green House.
Prices for evening parties are available on request.
Weddings in the Greenhouse
Weddings engage their own caterers, bar, florist and toilets, but we do have some toilets available in the
garden. List of preferred suppliers will be supplied by West Green House. We are a licensed premises
for alcohol and music until 11 pm. We do not allow extensions. Larger wedding prices on request. We
will levy a £500 security deposit to cover any breakages which will be returned after the wedding.
We allow some decorations in the Greenhouse and these can be arranged on the day before, providing
the Greenhouse is not booked.
We have 40 chairs, 12 x 5’ round tables (seat 8), 6 rectangular wooden tables and 12 trestle tables
available if required. Extra chairs and tables will incur an extra charge.
Flowers from our stunning garden can be supplied, prices on request.

Avocado Mozzarella and Tomato Salad with Pesto Dressing
Vegetable Terrine with Fig Chutney
Sweet Potato and Coconut Soup
All starters are served with a selection of breads.
Main Courses
Honey and Soy glazed Chicken with Seasonal Salad
Hot Smoked Salmon with Tarragon Lime dressing, Pickled Cucumber and Seasonal Salad
Feta and Asparagus Tart with Summer Salad
All mains are served with roasted new potatoes.
Desserts
Lemon Tart with Raspberry Coulis and Vanilla Cream
Meringue with Summer Berries
Chocolate and Hazelnut Slice with Cherry Compote

2 course meal £39 per person
3 course meal £45 per person
Please note we cannot accommodate a mixture of selections and the whole party must have the
same starter, main and dessert. We can of course cater for any vegetarian or gluten free diets.

Six canapés per person.
Ideal for a lunch time or early evening drinks party.

A Traditional Afternoon Tea
The afternoon tea comes served on elegant tiered cake stands and includes sandwiches with a range of
seasonal fillings, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam and a selection of cakes and pastries
made by our own chefs. Afternoon tea can be served to groups of up to 80 people.
A complimentary visit to the garden is included.
