VISION Our vision at Ronald McDonald House Monash is to enhance the quality of life for seriously ill children and their families by providing a home-away-from- home which is welcoming, caring and supportive. MISSION Ronald McDonald House Monash aims to provide outstanding facilities, services and programs for families with sick children during a difficult time in their lives. Our mission is to assist as many families as possible who are caring for a sick child within the Monash Health Network. We do this by providing secure, quality accommodation for families for as long as they need at Ronald McDonald House Monash. In addition, we enable families within the hospital to have some respite and time to themselves in our Ronald McDonald Family Room. OBJECTIVES During 2016-2018, RMH Monash will provide an ever-increasing number of families caring for children within the Monash Health Network, funding and developing new and expanded facilities in order to cater for greater occupancy at RMH Monash and increasing visitation at the Ronald McDonald Family Room within the new Monash Children’s Hospital. PMH Monash will: • Complete Phase One of Capital Campaign to fund a brand new Family Room in Monash Children’s Hospital (Q4, 2016) • Retain annual operational funding, ensuring a continued service of the highest quality to families with sick children (Q4 2016, Q4 2017 and Q4 2018) • Complete fit out of an outstanding new Ronald McDonald Family Room (Q2, 2017) • Reconfigure the existing Ronald McDonald Family Room into alternative, valuable functions, such as overflow accommodation (Q4, 2017) • Complete Phase Two of Capital Campaign for an expansion of RMH Monash (Q2, 2018) • Commence construction of the RMH Monash House extension (Q3, 2018) • Recruit and retain an increased, enthused and skilled volunteer team by 10% per annum (Q4, 2016; Q4, 2017; Q4, 2018) • Support the maximum possible number of families with sick children, maximising RMH Monash house occupancy and minimising family waiting lists (ongoing) Page | 3
