Tournament Secretary on Monday 11th February 2019 (or when field is full). Entry
Fees must accompany all entries.

The Buninyong Golf Club is registered under the Licensing Act.
All competitors will be made Honorary Members for the day of each event entered.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. Entries:-Closing date for entries is Monday 11th February 2019 (or when fields are full) and must be submitted to the
Tournament Secretary on the official Club entry form. Post entries may be accepted for some events.
2. Entry Fees: -The entry form must be submitted with the applicable entry fees.
3. Eligibility:-Entries are restricted to amateurs who are financial members of Golf Victoria or of Golf Clubs registered
with such State or Overseas Associations as are affiliated with Golf Victoria. The Committee shall have the right to
refuse the entry of any person without being required to give any reason for such refusal.
4. Rules:-Competitions shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal and Ancient Club
of St. Andrews, Scotland, together with such Local Rules as are in force on the course over which the competitions
take place. If a dispute arises on any point, it shall be decided by the Committee in charge of the Competition.
5. Handicaps:-The Committee may check any handicaps and the Committee reserves the right to make any alterations
to the handicaps before any event, should it be deemed necessary. Maximum handicaps –Men 36 and Women 45.
6. Management:-The Tournament Committee has the entire management of the tournament. In the event of ties, the
event will be decided on a count-back, with the exception of the 36 hole Scratch event for the McRae Cup which will
be decided by a three hole play-off over holes 1, 2 and 16, then “sudden death” commencing at the 17th and
continuing numerically until a result is achieved – 17, 18, 1, 2, etc..
7. Handicap verification:-It is the responsibility of each competitor to record his/her Golflink number on his/her
scorecard for verification of handicap. Any card presented without a valid Golflink number will be disqualified
from the event. This includes team events.
8. Playing Times:-The Committee will endeavour to allot times as requested but in view of large fields, competitors
must be prepared to play at the time appointed.
9. Ambrose Competition:-Conditions of play will be attached to the score card on the day of play.
10. Buggies:-Slicks or wide tyres are compulsory.
11. Spikes:-Soft spikes are compulsory.
12. A. J. Fisken Plate Ambrose (event 10) & Fisken Challenge Teams Trophy (event 5) – The net events can only be
won by a team with all players being financial members at the same registered golf club.
13. Competitors are only eligible to win one prize in any event – either net or scratch. On Saturday 17th those playing
in the 36 hole event are eligible to also compete in both 18 hole events being AM and PM events.
THE MCRAE CUP (Event No. 1)
The McRae Cup was first presented in 1937 to the Buninyong Golf Club by Mrs L Corner and
Mr L McRae for competition at the Annual Open Meetings; the Cup to be won by a competitor winning
the scratch event three times.
The first Cup was won by G Davies following his wins in 1937, 1938 and 1956.
The second Cup was won by JT Hunt in 1963, following his other wins in 1958 and 1961.
The third Cup was won by R Slocombe in 1979 following his other wins in 1974 and 1975.
The fourth and fifth Cups were won by Chris Tatt with his wins in 1987, 1990, 1992 and again in 1993,
1995 and 1996.
The sixth Cup was won by Bevan Morton in 2014, following his other wins in 2000 and 2013.
