Tamworth and Districts Working Equitation Inc. Sun 9th August 2020 – 8am start All Welcome Contributes to HOTY pointscore for TADWE entrants. Event Coordinator: Kim Wilson 0427733931 Entries @ $40 All entries are taken on a first in basis and are only accepted on Nominate. All riders MUST have a current rider levy No. from ANWE and state on entry. Entries close strictly Sunday 8th August 2020 at 8pm. Camping sites- powered and unpowered. Minimal Yards available. First in first served – book when entering. *You may provide your own yards. Please note; BYO lunch, morning tea and drinks. Possibility of coffee van attending. Please check FB closer to event. Programme will be sent after close of Entries. Conditions of Entry to any TADWE event: • All riders will be required to help throughout the competition or supply a worker as a condition of entry. A roster will be supplied with the draw. Jobs will include but are not limited to; pencilling, judging, course pick up, timers, catering assistants, cleaning, scoring, collecting dressage tests, packing up at the end of the weekend. This sport is labour intensive and as riders we all MUST work as a team to ensure our hard-working committee gets to compete and enjoy our sport. • ALL riders are expected to stay and pack up the equipment at the end of the event. Presentation is at the conclusion of the pack up. • All riders under 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Competition • Competition changes and Cancellation- In the event of the competition being cancelled prior to the event due to weather, entry fees will be refunded. The TADWE website and Facebook pages will be updated in the event of change. For all changes after the closing date, all entered competitors will be emailed. Organising Committee • Reserves the right to alter the proceedings of the event as advertised if required. ANWEL Rules • All events are held in accordance with ANWE rules and conditions. The ANWE rule book can be downloaded on the ANWE website: links are on the TAWDE website. • The onus is on the competitor to read the rule book. ANWE Rider Levy; Compulsory, to obtain use easy link • https://www.nominate.com.au/Clubs?RegistrationInformation.aspx?CID=81 Day Membership • Available on entry form, $30 for those wishing to trial WE or those visiting from another WE Club. ANWEL rider levy is compulsory to ride. TADWE Membership • Found on Nominate website, under Clubs, Tamworth and Districts Working Equitation, Join. Follow the instructions. Ground Jury • Is comprised of Chief Judge, President of the organising club and a rider. The Ground Jury will be displayed on the draw.
Disputes • From time to time there is the need to lodge a protest in relation to the results of a competition. In these instances, it is essential to follow the Protocol for Protest as set out in the ANWE rulebook 6.1. Levels of Competition • Horses may compete non-competitively at any level -HC- but must declare this on their entry. Callers • Callers are permitted in Working Dressage and Maneability phases. Each phase a caller is present will incur a 5-point penalty. Outside Assistance • No outside assistance is allowed or tolerated in any phase. Violation means Elimination. Draw • Move up draw is used in the maneabiity and speed phases. • Draw position cannot be changed without permission from the organising committee. • Every attempt is made to accommodate all riders, horses and tests within appropriate time frames. However, the organising committee reserves the right to design draw in the most appropriate manner to suit all competitors. • Obstacle and speed maps will be emailed with the draw, prior to the competition Timing • Times will be strictly adhered to. If you are late you may be eliminated from that phase. Although you may compete in the next phase. If there are scratchings on the day, then horses may be requested to move up. Insufficient Entries • The organising committee reserves the right to delete any levels in any competitions in the case of insufficient entries. Oversubscription • In the case of oversubscription, entries may be limited and taken in receipt order. Juniors and Youth • Classes will be run depending on numbers otherwise may be combined with open classes. Scratchings • May result in a move up draw • Will be accepted until closing date of entry. • Full refunds will only be given if withdrawal is prior to the closing of entries.
• Scratching’s will only receive a refund if a doctor or veterinary certificate is supplied prior to the competition date minus administration fee of $10. Tack • Please refer to ANWE rulebook. Helmets: • Compulsory for children under 18 years of age but recommended for all riders. Gear Check • Riders must present in the correct gear and attire to the gear steward prior to each phase. The gear steward will be located at baseball nets under signage. Course walks • Time slots will be allocated on draw and must be adhered to. The course may only be walked by riders; horses are not permitted through or around obstacles prior to riding in the competition. Grounds • When entering the grounds please drive around the perimeter, close to tree line. All council rules and regulations must be adhered to. • Only horses entered in the competition are allowed on the grounds. • A horse may only be ridden by its nominated rider on the competition grounds. Yards and Camping • Are booked at time of entry. Limited yards are available as are powered sites. It is also recommended long power cords be used. • It is a reasonable expectation of hire that all possible care will be taken when utilising the cattle-yards for horse purposes. Please leave yards as you found them with panels and pins in original place and condition. All damage is to be reported immediately to the committee. • Horses are NOT to be placed in the main cattle arena to graze during the night or day. Riders Briefing • Will be advised on draw. Warm up area • Warm up is on the Palmer street side of the dressage arena. Lunging area is available at Palmer Street side of grounds on the grassed warm up area and must not interfere with riders warming up. Be courteous. Dressage tests • Are available on the ANWE website. • Children entered from same family may request on entry a $10 reduction. Nominate will apply this.
Horse Welfare • Horses must be properly tied up or in yards throughout event. Clean water and feed is to be provided to the horse at all times. • Stallions must wear green badges as per rule book. • No mistreatment of any animal will be tolerated at any time.
