Scouts BSA >> Merit Badge / Keep on Truckin’ rules: Scouts BSA Program Focus: The main program activity for Scouts BSA youth is the Truck Transportation Merit Badge. Scouts will rotate between stations at their OWN pace and work through the activities and requirements at each area. In addition to the Merit Badge requirements there are stations that center around trucks, transportation in general, and safety on the roads. The Scout law is in effect at all times: Scouts doing things that don’t abide by the Scout Law should expect consequences up to and including expulsion from the event. -Safety is always a top priority. Coach and train your youth before the event to follow YPT and buddy system rules. -It is the responsibility of each youth to keep track of his own Blue Card. Cards can be replaced. Completed work will have to be made up. -Adult leaders are encouraged to accompany “learner” patrols as they visit the stations. -All participants should take pictures, provide encouragement, and have fun… safely. Contest: The youth will be responsible for visiting and voting for the best truck in the convoy. The winner will get a special award. This is a serious contest for the drivers. Lunch: Lunch will be provided and included in the registration fee. It will contain a main dish, a side, a drink, and a dessert. No equipment is required. Unfortunately, we are NOT able to accommodate for special dietary requirements. Lunch is guaranteed for all pre-registered youth and adults and will be available for day-of registrants on a first come, first served basis as available. Bring your water bottle and a cup. Bringing your cup reduces trash and keeps our registration fees low.
