This year we also saw a change in the Year Advising teams here at Sydney Trent Distance Education High School, not just in the roles but the people in Swaysland them as well. While Michael Marusic relieved as Head Teacher Science from the end of 2016, Trent Swaysland joined the team as the Years 7 and 8 Year Adviser and did a wonderful job during the first half of the year. With the need growing for another member in the senior team, Nina Thomas one of the junior Year Advisers stepped up to that role at the start of Term 2. The remaining three junior Year Advisers took on all of Years 7-10 between them until Michael rejoined the Junior team at the beginning of Term 3. No matter what name you gave to this between time while the changes were going on, we junior Year Advisers especially want to thank all of the supervisors, for the effort and patience that you have given our students during what may have been a difficult and turbulent time. With the support and effort that you bring to working with us we can work towards making 2018 The Year of Success. 28 Sydney Distance Education High School Bridging the Distance 2017 29
