Announcements Davison High School November 9, 2020 What is HOSA and what is the Gift of Life HOSA Challenge? Answer: HOSA IS The Future Health Professionals, formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America. Approximately 3,000 Michigan patients are waiting for life-saving organ transplants. The Gift of Life HOSA Challenge is to encourage people to sign up to be an organ donor. You can help to save and heal lives right here in Michigan by joining the Michigan Organ Donor Registry. Anyone may join the organ donor registry, including minors. Parents may legally revoke the decision of a minor to be a donor until that individual turns 18. Anyone considering the decision to be a donor is encouraged to discuss it with their family. See page 2 of these announcements for more information. 1
