PRESIDENTIS MESSAGE ACHIEVEMENTS
The 2017 John I Dent Rugby Season marks the 50th 1967 1981 1986
Anniversary of our great Rugby Club. As a proud Entered Club Champions 1st Grade
community tonight we come together as one to celebrate Sub District Premiers
the rich history of our club. Over the past 50 years, The Competition 2nd Grade Minor
Eagles have grown as a club but only as a result of the Premiership & 3rd Grade Minor
contribution both on and off field by the great men and B Grade Minor Premiers Premiership &
women who call the Eagles their Club. Premiership & Premiers

The history of our club cannot be denied as we look to Club Champions Craig Morton
remember the past and to forge stronger bonds between 1969 - selected for
the generations of players, coaches, volunteers and Entered District 2nd Grade Minor Australian
sponsors who have invested their heart and soul to ensure 4th Grade Premiership 7s Team and

When Father Jack Dempsey approached the ACTRU for 4th Grade Minor Premiership &
permission to enter a team from Daramalan Rugby Club Premiers Premiers 1989
in the 1967 Sub-Districts Competition, I wonder if he had 1st Grade Minor
any idea of the magnitude of what he was starting? It 1970 4th Grade Minor Premiership
was the birth of a club that has been a second home to Attained Premier Premiership
generations of young men and women and a nursery for Club Status Leigh Donnellan
some of the finest Rugby Players to play the game. and promoted 1983 - selected for
to 3rd Grade Club Champions Wallabies v
Today the Gungahlin Eagles retain the foundations and Competition British Lions
legacy laid down by the players and the committee of 1st Grade Minor
1967 as we continue to build and prosper in the Gungahlin 3rd Grade Minor Premiership Brendan McGee
region. With over 300 registered senior and junior Premiership & - The Michael
