MEN’S GOLF TOURNAMENT RULES
1. All tournament play shall be governed by the USGA Rules
of Golf, except as modified by the posted local rules.
2. The Golf Course Superintendent shall determine whether
the course is playable and when and where golf carts may
   be used.
3. The Chairman of the Golf Committee in conjunction with
the Director of Golf shall determine whether an event shall
be postponed or play suspended due to adverse weather
   conditions.
4. Players intending to play tournaments must register
   through the online tournament portal.
5. Entry deadlines will be posted for all match-play events
and stroke-play events in which the Director of Golf
   assigns foursomes.
6. All stroke-play events, including qualifiers, must be
played on designated dates. All putts must be holed out.
7. In match-play, the player on top of the draw shall contact
his opponent to schedule the match. All matches shall be
played by the scheduled dates of completion. If both
players and sides are unavailable, both sides shall be
   declared defaulted.

Exceptions can be made per event.
10. With fairness to all members, the Golf Committee
reserves the right to adjust handicaps as deemed
necessary. Adjustments will be made with reasonable,
prior notice to the affected player, who shall then have the
right to a hearing prior to the effective date of the proposed

posting all his own scores upon completion of the round.
Scores of rounds played at other courses must also be

13. Players are required to submit completed scorecards to the
scoreboard immediately upon the conclusion of
tournament play. Scorecards are to be duly signed and

JUNIOR GOLF RULES
Our Club is fortunate that the membership has always been
supportive of our junior programs. In order to maintain the
opportunity for children to gain a true interest in the game of
golf, we actively look for ways to get them involved as they
grow through the years. Policies governing all junior play are
set by the Golf Committee on an annual basis. The following
classifications of junior play are recognized at the Country
Club of Paducah:

JUNIOR GOLFERS: ages 6 through 13
LITTLE CHIPPERS: ages 5 and under

Junior Golfers: Must be accompanied by parent or advanced
junior on the weekend and may play through the week at the
designated times. Intermediate players must be enrolled in the
junior program.

Little Chippers: Must be accompanied by an adult member
at all times.
Junior Tee Times:
▪ Weekend times will only be given the day of play.
▪ If the junior is playing with the parent, regular tee time
rules apply. (One week in advance.)
▪ If the junior does not show for his or her tee time, tee time
requests will not be taken for 14 days and the junior is only
allowed to make a tee time the day of play. The Golf
Committee will address a second offense.
PGA Junior League
This will be our 8th year producing a PGA Jr. League team.
PGA Junior League Golf is designed to better socialize the
game for boys and girls ages 13 and under. It features team vs.
team competitions in structured leagues that provide a popular,
less stressful scramble format as opposed to stroke-play
competition. This is a great way to get kids involved in the
game!

                    CCP Scrip Policy

   • All Golf Shop “Scrip” will be issued during the 2021
       calendar year.
   • Golf Shop Scrip will begin on January 1st of the current
calendar year and will end on December 28th of the
       current calendar year.
   • All special orders that will use Scrip must be placed by
December 1st of the current calendar year.
   • After December 1st, Scrip can only be used on purchases
from the current Golf Shop inventory.
• Any Scrip that is not used by December 28th will be
written off and will not be available for use in the
       following calendar year.
   • The Golf Shop Staff will do their best to let every
member know about any unused Scrip.

                 CCP Players Shootout

The CCP Players Shootout is way to recognize those golfers
that actively participate in events throughout the year. Points
are awarded for various events for participation and scoring. A
points chart is maintained throughout the year and the member
who earns the most points over the season will be crowned
“Player of the Year.” Those that finish in the top 40 of the
points list will be invited to play in the CCP Players Shootout.
This event will be the final event worth points towards “Player
of the Year.” The Top 40 players will be invited to participate
and based on the number of participants will determine the size
of the flights. Each flight will be decided according to
handicaps. Each flight will play 9 holes and the last player
remaining from each flight will advance to a sudden death
playoff to determine the overall winner.

The list of events that will be worth points along with
information of how points are broken down will be posted in
the Golf Shop.
Men’s Night

Men’s Night will be held every Wednesday evening (weather
permitting) starting April 21st and ending on September 8th.
You may sign-up for Men’s Night on the Wednesday of play
by stopping in, calling, or emailing the Golf Shop. We ask all
participants to be signed up at least 30 minutes ahead of play so
we can enter everyone into our Golf Genius Program and create
teams. Each player is required to have a handicap. Men’s Night
will start at 5:30, with dinner following afterwards on most
occasions. Every team will be assigned an “A” player, and that
player will be responsible for recording the team score, using
the Golf Genius online scoring, and turning in the team
scorecard at the end of the round.

The cost to participate in Men’s Night is $20 per player (cash
only). The 1st & 2nd Place Teams will be paid out as long as
there are 40 participants or more. If participation is under 40,
only the 1st Place Team will be paid. Skins will be paid to the
team(s) with the lowest gross score on a hole. Skins will be
carried over from week to week if there are no winners for that
night. We will do our best to hand out prizes to the winning
teams after play, but prizes may also be picked up in the Golf
Shop the following day.

The Year End Scramble will be held on September 18th. Any
player can qualify for the Year End Scramble by playing in at
least 8 Men’s Night events throughout the year. In the case of
cancellation after starting play, those players signed up will
receive credit for participating. There is a total of 21 Men’s
Night events scheduled for the year.

Please be mindful of your position on the course and keep pace with the
group in front. Our expectation is for no more than four hours twelve
minutes for your round. Playing at an enjoyable pace is an important
part of your golf experience at the Country Club of Paducah.

Rule 6-7 states, in part: “The player shall play without undue
delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines which
may be laid down by the Committee,” and thereafter prescribes
penalties for slow play. In order to prevent any such penalty, we
suggest that you review the following guidelines.

Below you will find the day-to-day procedures taken for being “out of
position.”

                            Procedures when “Out of Position”
*One bad timing exceeding the allotted time – Being notified as “out of position” and ask that
you return to position as quickly as possible.
*A second bad timing – Please allow the group(s) behind you to play through.
*A third bad timing – You will be asked to skip a hole to return to position.

Definition of “Out of Position”: The first group(s) to start will be
considered out of position if, at any time during the round, the group is
behind the prescribed schedule as detailed on the next page’s Pace of
Play Time Chart. Any following group will be considered out of position
if it (a) is taking more than the allotted time to play and (b) reaches the
teeing ground of a par-3 hole and the preceding group has cleared the
next tee; reaches the teeing ground of a par-4 hole and the putting green
is clear; or reaches the teeing ground of a par-5 hole when the preceding
group is on the putting green. Both (a) and (b) must apply for a group to
be out of position.

Allotted Time: When play is in groups of three (Stroke Play), groups
will be required to play at no more than a 4-hour and 12-minute pace for
the 18-hole round. (See below for Pace of Play Time Chart). When play
is in groups of two (Match play), groups will be required to play at no
more than a 3-hour 40-minute pace for the 18-hole round (See below for
Pace of Play Time Chart). When a group/match is being monitored and
timed each player in the group/match is expected to play any stroke
within 40 seconds after timing of the player’s stroke begins. Other than
on the putting green, the timing of a player’s stroke will begin when he
has had reasonable opportunity to reach his ball, it is his turn to play and
he can play without interference or distraction.
The following is the allotted time to play a hole after timing of the
player’s stroke begins:
  Normal Play: Time Given
   Hole 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
   Time :15 :28 :42 :56 1:11 1:24 1:38 1:52 2:06
