THANK YOU! Dear Rebel Nation, Thanks to you, 2016 saw the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation post another record-breaking year, topping $45 million in total cash giving. The Foundation reached its original goal of $150 million for the Forward Together campaign in 2016 and raised the goal to $200 million. With $28 million remaining, the hope is to meet the new mark by June 2017. We are amazed by the remarkable generosity of the Ole Miss family and continue to ask our dedicated and passionate supporters each year to provide essential resources in our pursuit of excellence. Your contributions support the academic and athletic success of nearly 400 student-athletes representing Ole Miss at the highest level of NCAA competition through scholarships, health care, strength and conditioning, academic support, meals and nutrition, and housing. Without you, fielding a program at this level would not be possible. We are grateful to the many donors, ticket holders and fans that enable our student-athletes to be successful. Our staff looks forward to assisting you throughout the 2017-2018 athletics year! Go Rebels! J. Keith Carter Scan here for a message from Executive Director of the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation, Keith Carter. [1]
The Vaught Society was started in 2005 as an exclusive group of donors who had contributed over $350,000 in their lifetime to Ole Miss Athletics. These generous individuals have built the foundation we stand on today, and we are eternally grateful for their support. Since its reintroduction to the public in December 2009, the Vaught Society has increased its membership from 27 to approximately 400 members and has generated over $45 million in philanthropic support for Ole Miss Athletics. Currently, all pledges to the Vaught Society are being directed towards the Forward Together campaign. The Vaught Society is the major gift fundraising arm of the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation. Members of the Vaught Society make commitments of at least $25,000* over a five-year period. These major gift commitments are above and beyond any priority seating annual donations. In recognition of their generosity, Vaught Society members gain access to an exclusive stewardship program. If you would like to discuss the Vaught Society in more detail with an Ole Miss Athletics Foundation staff member, please call (662) 915-7159. *Subject to change. Within the last year, the Forward Together campaign has launched or completed the following: • In Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, the north end zone was enclosed which brought capacity to just over 64,000, and the Field Club opened in the south end zone. The playing surface was transformed to natural grass and new video boards, a new audio system, and new lighting were also installed. The Jake Gibbs Letterwinner Walk and Lloyd Family Bell Tower are planned for 2017. • The Ole Miss Track Facility reopened with a completely new surface and renovations to the field. • Renovations at the Gillom Sports Center that include new weight and training rooms, team meeting rooms, playing courts, locker rooms, and offices for softball, soccer, volleyball and rifle are set for completion in June 2017. • Oxford-University Stadium will see the addition of the Trehern Performance Center and two new seating areas for the 2018 season. • Construction of an indoor tennis facility that will hold six indoor tennis courts began in January 2017 with expected completion in January 2018. Please consider paying by check or ACH bank draft to help us provide more of your donation to the athletics department. Thank you for your support of the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation! Why is it important that I make my pledge and send in at least 25% of my overall contribution by March 31, 2017? Meeting the March 31 deadline helps the staff provide the best possible customer service for each pledge/sport renewed, helps ensure you are recognized at the correct donor level, and allows the department to accurately project revenues, which assist with the budgeting process for the coming year. To maximize your priority point ranking for football seating/parking selections, you are eligible to donate the entire pledge amount by the March 31 deadline.
