Christmas Programme 2020
Christmas Eve
We look forward to welcoming you from 3:00pm. Curl up by a crackling fire, or
in the privacy and comfort of your room. Enjoy a glass of fizz or mulled cider
with home-made mince pies, or indulge in our festive Afternoon Tea. Our Spa
will be open from 9:00am to 5:30pm and can be enjoyed by booking exclusive
‘Spa Time’. (See page 8 for more details).
Christmas Eve festivities begin from 7:00pm with Champagne and canapés
in the lounges, followed by a delicious à la carte dinner in The Potager
restaurant. Executive Chef David Williams and his team create inspired dishes
using our very own ‘garden-to-plate’ fresh produce. Don’t forget to put those
stockings out before bed time!

Christmas Day
Merry Christmas! Enjoy a Champagne or Bucks Fizz breakfast in The Potager
from 7:30am, or stay in your PJ’s, unwrap your presents and order room service
until 11:00am. Our sublimely relaxing Spa hydrotherapy pool will be available
for pre-booking from 9:00am to 1:00pm. (See page 8).
The main event! Join us from 12 noon in the lounges for a Champagne and
canapé reception, followed by an indulgent three-course Christmas Day lunch
in the The Potager. Then relax by the fire, take a stroll around our enchanting
gardens or the village... or just take a nap!
In the evening, there’ll be a relaxed buffet from 7:00pm served by one of our
chef team, featuring all your favourites, garden-inspired delicacies and festive
treats. Save room for cake... and a night cap of course!

Boxing Day
Breakfast will be served in The Potager from 8:00am, or enjoy breakfast in bed
until 11:00am. The Spa will be open from 9:00am to 5:30pm (Page 8). If you’re
feeling energetic, explore some lovely local walks then enjoy lunch or Afternoon
Tea at leisure (not included). Later, there’s Boxing Day dinner in The Potager,
with our fun quiz if you’re feeling competitive. If you fancy a change of scenery,
pop across the road to The Village Pub for Pie Night! (Limited spaces).

Christmas Tariff 2020
Prices for the Christmas programme are based on double occupancy, arriving
on Thursday 24th December and departing after breakfast on Sunday 27th
December. Prices include three nights’ accommodation*, Champagne on
arrival, Afternoon Tea and a three-course à la carte dinner on Christmas Eve,
Champagne and canapé reception followed by a three-course Christmas Day
lunch, buffet dinner Christmas Day night, dinner and quiz night on Boxing Day
evening, full English breakfast each morning, as well as service and VAT.

New Year Programme 2020
New Year’s Eve
We look forward to welcoming you from 3:00pm. Once settled into your
gorgeous room or private suite, you can explore our idyllic gardens, then relax
by the fire in the lounge with a decadent Afternoon Tea or snuggle up in our
atmospheric cocktail bar. The Spa is open from 9:00am to 5.30pm, to ensure
you look and feel fantastic as you welcome 2021. (See page 8 for more details).

Take a stroll around Barnsley village or ask us for one of our local walking
guides. Our very own Village Pub is also just across the road if you fancy
partaking of the local ale and a bit of community spirit!

When you’re ready to start the festivities, we’d love you to join us in the lounge
for a cocktail reception before dinner. A truly wonderful six-course garden-
inspired feast then awaits you, created by talented Executive Chef David and
his team, with many fresh ingredients sourced from our own ‘Potager’ gardens—
and locally. There will be a Scottish piper playing for us during the evening and
of course Champagne for all before the countdown to midnight, when we’ll
officially welcome in 2021!

New Year’s Day
A very Happy New Year! Breakfast will be served in The Potager from 7.30am
If you prefer to hideaway after the festivities of the night before, it can also be
served in your room until 11:00am. To start 2021 with some blissful pampering
(or to soothe a sore head!) our Spa will be open from 9:00am to 5.30pm. (See
page 8 for details).

If you haven’t already, do take a walk around the gardens or the village then
cosy up beside a roaring fire to indulge in a delicious Afternoon Tea with chef’s
freshly-baked treats... but save some room for later!

Evening brings a New Year’s Day dinner with a difference. We’ll be offering
gin tasting to kick things off (including sampling our own Barnsley House
gin!) followed by a special three-course dinner in The Potager. Afterwards,
we’ll round things off with more tastings—sampling devine gourmet chocolate
and some very special rums—the perfect night cap!

course garden-inspired New Year’s Eve dinner in The Potager restaurant, a
glass of Champagne at midnight, a three-course dinner on New Year’s Day in

plus full English breakfast each morning, service and VAT.

Barnsley Spa
Following social distancing measures, we have taken this opportunity to make
your Barnsley Spa visit feel even more special by adapting the way we offer the
Spa experience to our guests.

Our beautiful hideaway garden Spa can now be enjoyed by booking your
exclusive ‘Spa Time’. Two blissful hours all to yourself (and someone special if
you like) including an indulgent 55-minute treatment, with private use of the
steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pool, relaxation room and Spa garden terrace.
