Adaptive TGIF Social Program
Welcome to the City of Mesa Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities Adaptive TGIF
Social Program. This program is designed for individuals with intellectual
disabilities ages 16 and older who can function independently while in a group setting
with the supervision of staff.

Friday, September 24 – ImprovMANIA Comedy Show
Drop Off Time: 6:30pm
Pick Up Time: 9:00pm
Location: Eagles Community Center– 828 E. Broadway Rd.
Cost: $20 Pre-registration is required.
Note: Life is better when laughing. Come join ImprovMANIA Comedy for a show that is like no
other! Participants will meet at Eagles Community Center and will be transported to
and from the outing. Drop off time is 5:30pm. Pick-up time is 9pm. Please eat dinner
before attending this TGIF outing. Concessions will be available at the participant's
personal expense.
Friday, October 8 – Paint & Pizza
Drop Off Time: 6:30pm
Pick Up Time: 8:30pm
Location: Eagles Community Center– 828 E. Broadway Rd.
Cost: $10 Pre-registration is required
Note: Sign up, show up, eat up, PAINT! Get creative while we guide you step-by-step through
creating a painting while being with a great group of friends.
Friday, October 22 – Halloween Bash
Drop Off Time: 6:30pm
Pick Up Time: 9:000pm
Location: Chandler Community Center – 125 E. Commonwealth Ave. Chandler
Cost: $10 Pre-registration is required
Note: The Halloween Bash is a special evening for individuals 16 and older with developmental
disabilities. Participants must be able to function in a large group setting. The evening
will include dancing, refreshments, and a costume contest. Participants will meet at the
Chandler Community Center. The community center is located at 125 E. Commonwealth
Ave. in Chandler.
Friday, November 5 – Outdoor Game Night
Drop Off Time: 6:30pm
Pick Up Time: 8:30pm
Location: Eagles Community Center– 828 E. Broadway Rd.
Cost: $10 Pre-registration is required.
Note: Come "kick" it with us during a fun night of kickball and other well-known yard games!
Participants will be provided a picnic style dinner. Please bring lawn blankets and/or
foldable lawn chairs. We will be playing on the soccer fields north of the building. Look
for signs on where to direct you.
Friday, November 19 – Walt Disney Extravaganza
Drop Off Time: 6:30pm
Pick Up Time: 9:00pm
Location: Eagles Community Center– 828 E. Broadway Rd., Mesa
Cost: $10 Pre-registration is required.
Note: Get ready to challenge yourself with some Disney trivia! We will have some goofy fun
games, a magical showing, and dinner.
Friday, December 3 – Holiday Movie & Dinner
Drop Off Time: 6:30pm
Pick Up Time: 9:00pm
Location: Eagles Community Center– 828 E. Broadway Rd.
Cost: $10 Pre-registration is required
Note: 'Tis the season to be jolly. Let's cozy up and have dinner and enjoy a holiday movie
together!
Saturday, December 11 – Mistletoe Magic Dinner & Dance
Drop Off Time: 6:00pm
Pick Up Time: 9:00pm
Location: Mesa Convention Center – 263 N Center St., Bldg. B
Cost: $15 Pre-registration is required
Note: The evening will include dinner, desserts, dancing, and a picture with Santa.
Participants will meet at the Mesa Convention Center. The convention center is located
at 263 N Center Street, Building B, in Mesa. Drop off time is 6pm. Pick-up time is 9pm.
Friday, December 15 – Holiday Shopping & Dinner
Drop Off Time: 5:30pm
Pick Up Time: 9:30pm
Location: Eagles Community Center– 828 E. Broadway Rd.
Cost: $10 Pre-registration is required
Note: Participants will bring their holiday shopping list and money to shop and eat at Target
and enjoy dinner at In-N-Out Burger with friends. Participants will meet at Eagles
Community Center and will be transported to and from the outing. Drop off time is
5:30pm. Pick-up time is 9:30pm.TGIF REGISTRATION WAIVER: In consideration for being permitted to participate in City of Mesa (“City”) activities or
programs, or utilize and be present on City facilities, as a participant, spectator, or parent or guardian of

(s) and program(s) listed on this form. USER understands, acknowledges, and agree that they may be

relied on by the City, for all activities or programs listed herein and for all future activities or programs,
