THE DIRECTORS, MANAGERS AND STAFF OF BLUE LAGOON VILLAGE RECOGNIZE THAT OUR OPERATIONS HAVE AN EFFECT ON THE LOCAL, REGIONAL AND COUNTRYWIDE ENVIRONMENT. BLUE LAGOON VILLAGE IS SUCCESSFULLY REDUCING THE PRODUCTION OF WASTE ( LANDFILL) IN ALL AREAS OF THE HOTEL AND SEPARATING WASTE IN ORDER TO BE RECYCLED AND TREATED PROPERLY ENCOURAGING GUEST TO JOIN ITS EFFORTS . ΙΝ 2017 WASTE (KG)/OVERNIGHT :5.18 , GLASS RECYCLING (KG)/OVERNIGHT : 0.33 IN 2018 WASTE (KG) /OVERNIGHT :4.94 ,GLASS RECYCLING (KG)/OVERNIGHT :0.32 OUR GOAL FOR 2019 & 2020 IS TO HAVE A FURTHER DECREASE OF 5 - 10 %
BLUE LAGOON VILLAGE HAS MANAGED THROUGH CONTINUOUS EFFORTS NOT TO INCREASE THE OVERALL CONSUMPTION OF WATER DESPITE THE CHANGE OF TEMPERATURE IN GREECE AND WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE SERVICE OFFERED TO OUR GUESTS AND ENSURING THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR GUESTS. CONSUMPTION IN CUBIC METRES / OVERNIGHT (2017) : 0.53 CONSUMPTION IN CUBIC METRES / OVERNIGHT (2018) : 0.48 OUR GOAL FOR 2019-2020 IS A FURTHER DECREASE OF 5 -10 % NATURE MATTERS
ENERGY MANAGEMENT BLUE LAGOON VILLAGE HAS MANAGED TO REDUCE BOTH FUELS & ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION BY WORKING WITH LATEST TECHNOLOGY (ENERGY SAVERS) EQUIPMENT. KNX SYSTEMS CONTROL THE LIGHTS AND VENTILATION OF THE MAIN BUILDING. CONSUMPTION OF ELECTRICITY IN KWH / OVERNIGHT 2017 : 25.11 CONSUMPTION OF ELECTRICITY IN KWH / OVERNIGHT 2018 : 24.12 OUR GOAL FOR 2019 & 2020 IS TO HAVE A FURTHER DECREASE OF 5-10 % NATURE MATTERS
GUEST SATISFACTION OUR PRIMARY EFFORT IS TO OFFER THE GENUINE GREEK HOSPITALITY AND TREAT OUR VISITORS AS HOME GUESTS RATHER THAN HOTEL COSTUMERS. FOR THE YEARS 2012-2016 WE HAVE WON THE GOLD AWARD IN THE CATEGORY OF OVERALL ACCOMMODATION SATISFACTION FROM TUI FOR THE YEARS 2017 & 2018 THE OVERALL ACCOMMODATION SATISFACTION SCORE IS ON 9.10. FOR THE SAME PERIOD WE HAVE BEEN ALSO AWARDED AS FAMILY CHAMPIONS BY TUI . AT THE MOMENT OUR SCORE IN TRIPADVISOR IS OVER 4.5 WITH 1893 REVIEWS ALSO IN HOLIDAY CHECK OUR SCORE IS 5.5 WITH 92 % POSITIVE RATE GUESTS MATTERS
GUEST SATISFACTION WE ALWAYS WANT TO HAVE A FEEDBACK FORM OUR GUESTS THAT IS WHY ONE DAY PRIOR TO THEIR DEPARTURE THEY RECEIVE A QUESTIONNAIRE WHERE THEY CAN WRITE THEIR THOUGHTS . ALL THE QUESTIONNAIRES ARE BEING ACCESSED BY THE GUEST RELATIONS DEPARTMENT IN OUR DATA AND IN OUR WEEKLY MEETING WITH ALL THE DEPARTMENTS HEADS WE SHARE THEIR COMMENTS AND WE ARE TRYING TO PLACE THEM IN ACTION IN OUR DAILY OPERATION GUESTS MATTERS

WE AIM TO BUY LOCAL PRODUCTS ONLY AND NOT IMPORTED PRODUCTS. IMPORTED PRODUCTS WILL ONLY BE BOUGHT WHEN THEY ARE NOT AVAILABLE LOCALLY. OUR COMMUNITY MATTERS
KOS COMMUNITY DONATIONS AND CHARITY BLUE LAGOON VILLAGE TRIES TO HELP NUMEROUS ORGANIZATIONS OR GROUPS WITH DONATIONS, SUCH AS OLD UNIFORMS, LINEN OR FURNITURE. DONATIONS ARE GIVEN TO LOCAL JUNIOR BASKETBALL TEAMS ETC. AND OUR PRIORITIES ARE SCHOOLS, REFUGEES AND THE LOCAL CHURCHES. THE HOTEL OFFERS IT SPORTS GROUNDS FOR EXCURSIONS OF SCHOOLS AND IS HOSTING AS WELL THE TECHNICAL SCHOOL AT THE WORK SITES. OUR COMMUNITY MATTERS
SOME FACTS ON HOW WE HELP THE LOCAL COMMUNITY FROM OUR EXPENSES THE 56.69 % IS THE PAYROLL OF OUR EMPLOYEES AND FROM THAT THE 60 % IS TO LOCAL EMPLOYEES . THE AMOUNT THAT WE HAVE PAID TO OUR LOCAL SUPPLIERS IS 5.88 % ( ALMOST 300.000) FROM OUR GENERAL EXPENSES FROM OUR TOTAL EXPENSES THE 7.14 % IS TO LOCAL TAXES . THE PERCENTAGE FOR ELECTRICITY AND COMMUNICATION EXPENSES TOWARDS GENERAL EXPENSE IS ALMOST 11 % ALMOST 2% FROM OUR GENERAL EXPENSES IS GIVEN FOR CHARITIES OUR COMMUNITY MATTERS
