MEDALS: New this year: Medals will be awarded to only the top three finishers in each gender and age division regardless of state. You must pick up medals the day of the event. If you leave early, your medals will not be mailed. You may pick them up at our offices with prior arrangements. OUT OF STATE PARTICIPANTS: WSO does accept out-of-state athletes and teams. However, an out-of-state athlete or team will not take away a qualifying NSGA spot from a Wisconsin athlete or team. Only one Gold, Silver and Bronze medal will be award in each age and gender division. 2021 Refund Policy The WSO does not issue refunds when you are unable to compete in events you signed up in. In the event the WSO cancels an event, fees associated with that event along with your general registration fee, if applicable, will be refunded to you, credited to your account for use in the 2022 season, or you may donate your fees the WSO to help defray the costs associated with planning the 2021 season. Wisconsin Senior Olympics partners with FuseSport for our athlete registration system in addition to Braintree, a PayPal affiliate, to register, collect and process athlete registrations. A portion of your registration covers the cost associated with these partnerships. Fees also support a portion of the cost of conducting the games, including medals, supplies, printing costs and independent contractors. Facility fees cover the costs of the sport including the venue and officials associated with that specific sport. Athletes have the option to register on our website or by mailing in a paper form. Both forms incur processing fees that are non-refundable.

As part of our relationship with NSGA, we are required to share with the NSGA the names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and birth dates of the athletes participating in the WSO. In addition, because of your expressed interest in participating in the games, WSO reserves the right to: share the names, age groups, city locations and results of its athletes to various media sources including on our website; use any photographs or video from any WSO sponsored event in displays, publications and other marketing material; contact athletes via telephone, through email or mail on matters of interest or importance. New For 2021 New Event: Dartball New Locations: Pickleball, Shuffleboard, Swimming, Table Tennis Notice: Cornhole will be an “open” sport at the National Senior Games in 2022 any athlete age 50 or older is eligible to compete in this event at the National Senior Games. Note: Horseshoes will not be offered at the 2022 National Senior Games MISSION STATEMENT The purpose of the Wisconsin Senior Olympics, Inc. is to provide Wisconsin’s older adults the opportunity to maintain and improve their overall fitness and wellness, through recreational, social and competitive events. CODE OF CONDUCT The Wisconsin Senior Olympics (WSO) organization prides itself on our moral values of honesty, transparent communication, and teamwork. In turn, we expect these same values to be present in all participating athletes. All athletes are expected to abide by the Code of Conduct as established by WSO. STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOR Athletes are responsible for their words and actions while participating in WSO, and athletes shall comply with the following Code of Conduct: Treat all those involved in competition (umpires, athletes, spectators, administration) with respect. Demonstrate fair play and sportsmanship. Do not engage in the use of profanity or other offensive language. Follow the WSO and National Senior Olympics policies and official sport rules. Refrain from the use of tobacco and alcohol where prohibited. (School grounds, public buildings etc.) Athletes are responsible for their conduct from the time they reach the venue until the time they leave and are also encouraged to communicate this responsibility to any and all teammates. Failure to abide by the rules and guidelines outlined by WSO may subject an athlete to disciplinary action enforced by the WSO Games Coordinator and/or Executive Committee. Depending on the severity of the infraction, disciplinary action may include, but not limited to the following: Verbal warning Written warning Suspension Termination of playing privileges The Wisconsin Senior Olympics organization reserves the sole authority to determine what, if any, disciplinary action is appropriate for any conduct infraction. Each situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
