D e a r Teal F a m i ly, a message from our owner Steph Season 8 is arriving and boy are we excited! TNT is Perth’s premier cheerleading club with multiple locations including Booragoon & For- restdale we have something for everyone. After many years of cheer experience in Canada, I decided to open TNT as a place that could provide young athletes with the same love and experiences I had as an athlete. This sport is undeniably the most inclusive sport for all types of people that brings together a combination of teamwork, friendships and passion. TNT has created a family environment to over 400 athletes in our 2020 season. We set the bar high and continue to strive for excellence year after year. With over 28 teams, tumbling and recreational pro- grams no matter what your level we have something for you. Behind the scenes TNT has a passionate group of encouraging coaches that go above and beyond for every athlete. Our coaches push the limits for their teams bringing home several state and national titles every year. Here at TNT we believe our 4 core values create success within our program. Trust, Communication, Teamwork, and Persistence are something we tie together for the whole of our program. These val- ues run between our coaches, families & athletes to create a smooth season for all. If you’re looking for lifelong friendships and a sport exploding with drive and passion you’ve come to the right place. TNT has a spot for everyone and we can’t wait to have you in our gym. New or returning we welcome you to the 2021 teal family! Steph xx 3 www.tntallstars.com.au 3
What We Offer Here at TNT All Stars we have programs that suit everyone. When you join us not only will you get to join an awesome sport, you will become part of our inculsive community and make friends for life. RECRE ATIONAL These classes practice for one hour per week and are non-competitive. This is a perfect place to learn the foundations of cheerleading and movement without having to attend competitions. These classes will have a showcase at the end of each Term to display everything they have learned. This includes 3 year olds and our Baby Bombs sensory play as well as our Learn to Cheer progression program “Blast Off!”. This program is great for those they want less commitment and to just have some fun! SEMI COMPETITIVE Semi Competitive cheerleading is our Novice program. This is a great place to start out as a competitive cheerleader. These teams have no skill requirements and will teach you all of the foundations of level 1. Novice teams do less hours than All Star teams but still train once or twice a week depending on the age group. These teams work towards a 2:30 minute routine to compete at local competitions 3-4 times a year. Great building block before moving into our full competitive program. FULL COMPETITIVE Our Full Competitive program is known as All Stars cheerleading. TNT prides itself on having one of the strongest All Star programs in the country. Our All Star teams range from level’s 1-6 and all practice twice per week. Each team competes 6 times throughout the season and teams have the opportunity to travel both interstate and internationally. Our program also includes elite all girl, coed, and non tumbling teams making it inclusive for everyone. Please see All Star requirements. TU M B L I N G Our tumbling program caters to all of our cheer programs as well as to our tumbling only athletes. Whether looking to tumble for fun or increase your tumbling skills for cheerleading we have a class for you. Tumbling classes are a great addition to any cheerleading program to improve your skills. We also offer Ninja Classes for boys, adult tumbling and private lessons. With over 25 tumbling classes to choose from we have no doubt you’ll find something suitable. Head to page 8 for more information. www.tntallstars.com.au 4
Levels & Ages At TNT we believe it is extremely important to level and age athletes correctly. Levels and age groups are set up by the international governing body (IASF) and set the standard for safety throughout the world. Following these age groups and rules ensures quality skill building and safety throughout our program. Under 6 Under 8 Under 12 Under 14 Under 18 Open 14+ Rec Novice Level 1 Level 2 Level 3 Level 4 Level 5 Level 6 A LL S TA R L E VEL REQUI REMENTS The tumbling level requirements below are intended to be used as a guide for Full Competitive All Star team selection. Athletes should have these skills mastered when they attend that level tryout. If they are missing a skill they need to attend the lower level tryout, they can still then showcase the next level skills they have. It is also import- ant to note that there are lots of factors that go into team creation, such as stunting ability, position and attitude, not just the tumbling requirements alone. Please ensure you check the guide before deciding on your tryout. All Star Attendance Policy Attendance is compulsory for every lesson as every athlete plays a vital role in the team. When one person is missing it means the team cannot practice to its full potential. In Term 1 we have an alternate schedule that is more family friendly with no Sunday practices and all level 2-6 teams train 30 minutes less. Once Term 2 begins we switch to our regular schedule and attendance is crucial as we begin Choreography and head into competition season. We will have additional practices in January and during choreography week. These times will be given out to each team on registration day. Please note the final 3 practices leading up to any competition are classified as our FLASH OUT period and cannot be missed. If they are missed your athlete may not be able to compete or their position in the routine may be altered. Please make yourself familiar with the policy documents on our website for further information. Term 1 Summer Schedule In Term 1 we run a family/summer friendly schedule which sees all of our Full Competitive All Stars teams do 30 minutes less in Term 1. We also run a Sunday free schedule during this time to ensure families can 10 spend the weekends together before we get into our competition mode. www.tntallstars.com.au
