LEGENDS COLLEGIATE SUMMER TEAM RETURNS TO THE DIAMOND IN 2022 After a five year hiatus, the Menlo Park Legends Collegiate Summer team will return to action in the Bay Area Collegiate League! In a long-awaited decision to bring the “boys of summer” back to Menlo Park, the team is now in the process of building it’s roster for the summer of ‘22. The Menlo Park Legends will be coached by Menlo College Assistant Baseball Coach Nick White and will play home games at both Menlo College and Canada College. The season will run from early June until late July and around 45 games are planned! The team has a rich history of showcasing talent and providing an opportunity for players to hone their skills as they move to the next level. The Legends have produced 50 professional players including 2 Olympians and 3 Major Leaguers. That number is expected to steadily increase from year to year now that the club is “back in the swing of things!” Our exciting summer schedule includes road trips to play at the ebay summer collegiate venues in California including Healdsburg Prunepackers, Sonoma Stompers, Marysville Gold Sox and the Humboldt Crabs. TEAM INFORMATION Bay Area Collegiate Summer Baseball League The BACL provides an opportunity for top level collegiate athletes to master their skills and showcase their talents to pro scouts. BACL teams play on some of the finest baseball fields across the Bay Area and against the most competitive teams. Many BACL teams will also play against top non- league competition across California, Oregon and Nevada. Home Fields Menlo College & Canada College Cost $1200 covers everything including hotels and uniforms. Gas and meal money not provided. All players are given the opportunity to recoup their $1200 summer dues by working 2 weeks at the Legends Youth Summer Baseball Camp. CLICK HERE to fill out the contract and make your summer payment General Manager & Head Coach After finishing his playing career in 2013, White decided to pursue coaching at Monterey Peninsula Community College where he was a hitting, catching and strength coach for 3 seasons. In 2016 he became the graduate assistant for San Jose State University, where he worked with players from every position with an emphasis on catching. In 2017, Nick White was hired as the Head Assistant Coach/ Recruiting Coordinator for Menlo College (NAIA). Although hitting and catching are his specialty, he was the head pitching coach for the 2017 season. White is also the founder and Head Coach for Menlo’s JV baseball program. In his nine years of collegiate coaching he has been a head hitting, catching and pitching coach as well as 3B / 1B coach and head recruiting coordinator. We are delighted to have Nick lead the Legends in 2022!

A) It depends on how many pitches you threw, where the games are and where you are in your recovery process. In general we prefer all players to be at all games, however we can be flexible and make exceptions on an as needed basis Q) What is the report date? A) An initial team meeting date will be posted in the early Spring Q) What is the cancellation policy in case we need to drop out? A) As long as we know at least 30 days prior to June 1st we can offer a full refund. Extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Any cancellations after 30 days could result in losing your $1200 summer dues. If you are shut down due to injury just before the season we can offer a full refund with a doctors note Q) What will the roster size be? How many position players and how many pitchers? A) We are shooting to have somewhere between 30-34 players. Likely 15-16 position players and 15- 18 pitchers. Q) Will you be offering access to any training facilities like batting cages or bullpens? A) We plan to offer access to batting cages, bullpens and even local gyms. We plan to send this information out in the Spring. Q) Will there be a trainer on staff? We will be having a trainer on staff and on site for all home games. We will not have one with us for away games however many of the teams we travel to may have a trainer who may be able to assist with things like taping ankles and icing arms.
