BIBD Preparation & Readiness for COVID-19 Establishment of Business Continuity Plan for COVID 19 (as early as January 2020). BAU Area (Normal operations). BCP Site A & B. BCP Virtual. Establishment of COVID Action Team (CAT). Establishment of BIBD Pandemic Precaution Guideline and BCP(Business Continuity Plan).
BIBD Preparation & Readiness for COVID-19 Establishment of Work from Home (WFH) Guideline. Establishment of Travel and Training Restriction Guideline. COVID-19 training for BIBD employee First Aid Response readiness in handling HSSE in the workplace. BIBD is the first financial institution and among a handful organization in Brunei to have certified staff in COVID-19 training.
BIBD Preparation & Readiness for COVID-19 Creation of formal communication channels and Message House with relevant stakeholders: Government agencies such as Ministry of Health. Internal (members of staff). Customers & Public. Develop plan and schedule Bank-wide disinfectant services.
Activation of COVID-19 Plan of Action (POA) (10th March 2020) CAT, BIBD Pandemic Precaution Guideline and BCP for COVID 19. Scheduling and deploying employees: BCP sites (A & B). BCP virtual / Work from Home. Business As Usual (BAU) Area (for normal operations). Distribution of face masks and hand gloves to front-liners. Installation of hand sanitizers and thermometer units.
Activation of COVID-19 Plan of Action (POA) (10th March 2020) Social distancing queue and seating markers. Installation of acrylic barriers for front-liners. Placement of BruHealth QR Scan. Installing air purifiers units. Signages at every Bank premises. Scheduled disinfectant services.

Contributions to the Businesses Economic Stimulus Package MOFE, AMBD and BAB introduced the Economic Relief Package worth BND250m. The ‘COVID-19 Relief Package’ aimed to offer customers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with relief and to ease their financial burdens. BIBD Triple Zero Offer (COVID-19 Relief Package) that features: Zero Payment for three (3) months. Zero Processing Fees. Zero Profit. 3 months payment deductions waiver for new Personal Financing.
Contributions to the Businesses Digital Banking Payment Platform. BIBD BizNet. QR Code for Payment. Alignment of Fees for Business Opening Account. Waiver of Rental – BIBD Connects Tenants (6 months).
Contributions to the Individuals Establishment of the Community for Brunei. Virtual marketplace. Support Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME). Opportunity to purchase meal and donate to underprivileged community.
Contributions to the Individuals Distribution of food aid/ rations for front-liners and underprivileged Community. Providing Face masks and Hand sanitizers for underprivileged Community. Development of Transformation Programme for targeted segment (underprivileged and grassroot segment).
