z Programs of Study Documents Updated The Programs of Study frameworks have been updated to include a location for the LEA required nondiscrimination statement. TEA is beginning the work to have the Programs of Study frameworks translated to Spanish. Programs of Study Frameworks
z 2020-2022 Industry-Based Certification Information for Public School Accountability TEA will accept submissions of recommended industry-based certifications for inclusion in the 2022 Industry-Based Certifications List for Accountability from stakeholders from December 1, 2020, through January 15, 2021. ACAP 2021 Application is Launched! z ACAP (Accounting Career Awareness Program, sponsored by the DFW Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc., "NABA") is a one-week residency program for high school students interested in a career in accounting or business. In addition to the ACAP admissions requirements listed below, students interested in ACAP should review the ACAP video and flyer located on the ACAP website prior to completing the online application. Dallas ACAP Week is June 27 - July 2, 2021 Requirements for admission are as follows: on the campus of Southern Methodist University (SMU) for high school students of all Must be a high school student at time of application (all grade grade levels. The Dallas ACAP website is www.dallasacap.com. levels) TCU ACAP Week is July 11 - 16, 2021 Complete the online application on the campus of Texas Christian University Has a minimum of 3.0 GPA (may take a 2.8 if involved in strong (TCU) for high school students (all grade extracurricular activities) levels). z January To-do List Resolve second-semester schedule changes. Review second-semester course offerings. Ensure that proper funding is turned on for new semester course offering sections. Review Career Prep and Practicum Training Plans (job changes, new Training Plans, etc.). Conduct onboarding for any semester new hires. Verify that your teachers assigned to CTE courses resulting in math or science credit completed required online training. Review activities for CTE Education Week.
