2. Funding Proposal:

Section A: What your organisation hopes to do as their event (once off
initiative)1 for the UN International Day for the Eradication of Poverty:

     1. Describe briefly what the activity is and how it will help promote awareness of
        the day? This should include any key messages that your activity would hope
        to communicate about the UN day. (Not more than 200 words) (30 Marks)

     2. How is this project related to tackling poverty in Ireland and does it help raise
        awareness of what it is like to live here in poverty to the audience? Who is the
        audience and why is it important that it is targeted? (Not more than 100
        words) (15 marks)

     3. How does the activity involve people who have or are experiencing poverty?
        (Not more than 100 words) (15 marks)

 Please note that the activity is meant to be a standalone activity which is not a direct continuation of any previously funded
project as the once off initiative criteria specifies this. e.g. if your project consisted of a specific activity in previous years and
your organisation is now looking to replicate or expand this previous activity it may not satisfy the criteria and it may not be
successful in the application for funding.

4. How will this work help people from different challenging circumstances
         connect with other groups or individuals looking to tackle poverty as part of
         the project (locally or nationally)? How will you know how many people are
         reached by your project2? (Not more than 100 words) (10 marks)

      5. In what way will the work express global solidarity with people experiencing
         poverty in other parts of the world? (Not more than 100 words) (10 marks)

      6. What is the timescale involved, taking into account that the activity must take
         on or around the 17th October 2021? (Not more than 100 words) (10 marks)

Applications will be processed within 4 weeks of the deadline. Work that has already
taken place/ funded by other agencies/departments will not be funded.
Full compliance with Tax Clearance Procedures as laid down by the Department of
Finance is a condition of awarding this funding.
