                                   Comments from 2018 symposium

Raelene Rihari, Taupo District Council - Whether you are new or an old hand in the governance scene,
there are always many new learnings to take away from MAGS seminars. Steve and Vern are the “gurus of
all things democracy” and together make a dynamic team. Highly recommend their courses to all who are
seeking further knowledge – you will not be disappointed!
Elaine Stephenson, Nelson City Council – Excellent opportunity to meet peers and compare practices and
                                        interpretation of legislation.
Nichole Ganley, Manawatu District Council - Highly recommend if you get the opportunity to attend, that
you do, whether new to the role or experienced. The opportunity to discuss the good and bad parts of
your role with others in the same position or similar is fantastic.
